@@OldNorthFoxx222 The fans made it fail, because the 3rd Game was going away to be an Horror Game. It was not just more action based, it was also the first Game EA used to try out "microtransaction" in a Full Price Game. If you really try to compare the 3rd with the first 2 Games, then you maybe see, that the 3rd tries to be a "different" Games. The same happen btw with "F.E.A.R.". The 3rd Game was also more action based and the "Horror" parts are nearly none existend. I know that Fans can be "brutal" if it comes to there beloved series, but if it comes to try changing the Series overall, im totally understand the way of how a fan thinks. We also seen this with Resident Evil. Even with good sells of RE6, Capcom did go back more to Horror again, because RE is Horror, not just "pew pew".

@Cryer24597 3 was reviewed unfairly in my opinion. I played it solo and co-op, and the optional sections with Carver's side missions were some of the best parts of the game. I agree the game got too "actiony" but it was still scary at certain points and I enjoyed the weapon customization. Shame on EA for adding microtransactions though. DS3 was a great game despite what reviews said.

Having played through both the Callisto Protocol and Dead Space remake recently, it's crazy how these 2 games were directed by the same person. Callisto felt like an empty shell of a copy that doesn't understand the source material at all. It had good graphics and decent atmosphere but also the worst combat system i have ever seen in a game which ruined all immersion and tension. The Dead Space remake wasn't even made by the same people yet they clearly understand what made the original Dead Space great and improved upon every single aspect. It's a shame the person who originally came up with many of these ideas is so out of touch now.

I would say game development isn't Hollywood: a studio leader can't put together the same team after the studio breaks up because everybody is not still living in Canoga Park and ready to go. It's disbursed enough and causes enough burn out that people have to move on and you can't get them back. So there's no pretending a director is an author.

I don't feel like its fair to equate the result of a game with the ability of one person. Games are built on the backs of teams, and studios, and publishers, and in amongst all those bodies, a lot of things can go wrong Its easy to want to point the finger to one spot and have that have all the answers. But game development ain't easy. And so we gotta be considering the reasons for why one doesn’t turn out great isn't also

Effective use of discord to evoke a deep sense of unease. Screeches, loud noises that make you mutter quietly under your breath "be quiet, stop making noise, they will hear you!" @@blackred1032 actually most people are getting fed up with unfinished half baked products, bad multiplayer attempts and paywalls (anthem, fallout 76, Destiny and MANY more). The thing that makes single player games good is the depth. Immersion. Playing a game and feeling like you're a part of that world. Good singleplayers can do that. Multiplayers often just seem to revolve around "who's better". Social constructs is what keeps most people playing multiplayer; it's almost like hanging around with friends. The activity might be boring, but friends are not. Destiny in my opinion is absolute garbage. No depth, most of the story is hidden in lore; it's just lazy. Repetitive quests, no originality.. Oh and RDR2. Do you think that everyone who has that game plays multiplayer? Because they dont. EVERYONE played the story, only 10 to 15% play RDR2 online, and often not on a regular basis.
@GageMason
@GageMason 5 жыл бұрын
@@DutchDouchebag I prefer multiplayer games that have at least a competitive aspect to them. I enjoy the competition, that's what I enjoy about them. On the other hand, i don't enjoy single player games all too often. My enjoyment of a single player game comes from me being the main character in the story, not the story revolving around a pre developed main character. That's why I like single player games more akin to Skyrim, where you develop your character, rather than games like uncharted, where the character has a backstory. I might be in the minority with that, but it's just what I enjoy. Overall, multiplayer games like Halo, Titanfall, and for me Destiny's PvP (although it needs alot of work), are where I feel most at home. Just thought I'd give some thoughts from a person who mainly plays multiplayer games.

The major companies are also just about all completely creatively bankrupt. They lost their best creative leads along the way and now they just have bland corporate ones. I mean just look at Ubisoft. Then again, some newer game studios really break ahead of the pack some times. The difference is that you don't hear about them as much because they don't have the advertisement and popularity of the long standing powerhouses of gaming. We need that design back. A solid experience. Everything can be earned by playing the game period. I really hate how RE2R music was missing the entire game. Just sound FX. Foot steps. Shuffling. And Mr X had one stomp sound. I thought the game was broken. Even after patching it. But no the music was non existent, until end level and boss. The original RE2 soundtrack was made dlc, not optional with purchase of the game. And lots of gear made inaccessible. And the game itself was limited and not fun to play. *Numerous bugs = ammo would disappear, some items would not even be in inventory. QTE were non responsive till after patch. But some interaction did not work still. And Save data (continue from last save would throw your play time set back 30 minutes to several hours / only option is to load a manual save, but apparently there is a save data bug 🤦‍♂️ I don't get it. How did it pass testing like this? Although the character and enemy designs were fantastic, everything was hard to see. Brightness wasn't fixed either. It just wasn't finished, and it's a shame.
