@@OldNorthFoxx222 The fans made it fail, because the 3rd Game was going away to be an Horror Game. It was not just more action based, it was also the first Game EA used to try out "microtransaction" in a Full Price Game. If you really try to compare the 3rd with the first 2 Games, then you maybe see, that the 3rd tries to be a "different" Games. The same happen btw with "F.E.A.R.". The 3rd Game was also more action based and the "Horror" parts are nearly none existend. I know that Fans can be "brutal" if it comes to there beloved series, but if it comes to try changing the Series overall, im totally understand the way of how a fan thinks. We also seen this with Resident Evil. Even with good sells of RE6, Capcom did go back more to Horror again, because RE is Horror, not just "pew pew".

@Cryer24597 3 was reviewed unfairly in my opinion. I played it solo and co-op, and the optional sections with Carver's side missions were some of the best parts of the game. Callisto felt like an empty shell of a copy that doesn't understand the source material at all. It had good graphics and decent atmosphere but also the worst combat system i have ever seen in a game which ruined all immersion and tension. The Dead Space remake wasn't even made by the same people yet they clearly understand what made the original Dead Space great and improved upon every single aspect. It's a shame the person who originally came up with many of these ideas is so out of touch now.

@DutchDouchebag5 жыл бұрын
@@blackred1032 actually most people are getting fed up with unfinished half baked products, bad multiplayer attempts and paywalls (anthem, fallout 76, Destiny and MANY more). The thing that makes single player games good is the depth. Immersion. Playing a game and feeling like you're a part of that world. Good singleplayers can do that. Multiplayers often just seem to revolve around "who's better". Social constructs is what keeps most people playing multiplayer; it's almost like hanging around with friends. The activity might be boring, but friends are not. Destiny in my opinion is absolute garbage. No depth, most of the story is hidden in lore; it's just lazy. Repetitive quests, no originality.. Oh and RDR2. Do you think that everyone who has that game plays multiplayer? Because they dont. EVERYONE played the story, only 10 to 15% play RDR2 online, and often not on a regular basis.
@GageMason5 жыл бұрын
@@DutchDouchebag I prefer multiplayer games that have at least a competitive aspect to them. I enjoy the competition, that's what I enjoy about them. On the other hand, i don't enjoy single player games all too often. My enjoyment of a single player game comes from me being the main character in the story, not the story revolving around a pre developed main character. That's why I like single player games more akin to Skyrim, where you develop your character, rather than games like uncharted, where the character has a backstory. I might be in the minority with that, but it's just what I enjoy. Overall, multiplayer games like Halo, Titanfall, and for me Destiny's PvP (although it needs alot of work), are where I feel most at home. Just thought I'd give some thoughts from a person who mainly plays multiplayer games.

Sure there's still some of them but most of them are after maximizing profits, their careers, etc. A team that has even some of those people is going to get dragged down some. The major companies are also just about all completely creatively bankrupt. They lost their best creative leads along the way and now they just have bland corporate ones. I mean just look at Ubisoft. Then again, some newer game studios really break ahead of the pack some times. The difference is that you don't hear about them as much because they don't have the advertisement and popularity of the long standing powerhouses of gaming. Think about it, him and his team really did their research on what it was that can trigger a fight or flight response. From the Twitchers unnatural movements and scuttles to the sound the crawlers where making. It’s something most horror games to include Resident evil don’t take advantage of which makes dead space that much more freakier. What other horror games included undead children that still look like children

It's funny that he said "I want to make Resident Evil in space", because I think the shortest way to describe Dead Space is Resident Evil in a Mass Effect setting. Especially the fact that he was so fascinated with Resident Evil 4, and that it is a go to comparison for gameplay for so many people shows that he it was a true passion project and the he managed to execute his vision in masterful fashion.
