I can't understand how people didn't cheer for Jack, his loss literally increases the chances of humanity being destroyed. Regardless of if he's evil or good, of course it's best for him to win.

They were happy they won. But the person who lost was a good man who love humanity, while Jack, at the end, was still seen as a momster who darkness can shallow a god. Only the lady who knew him as a child and William Shakespeare saw that Jack had change from that fight. And it was for the better. Even as Jack was treated like dirt as he hit by objects thrown at him. He still bow with a smile and left. Honestly, it a really powerful moment.

I would argue it was probably a sense of decency. The criminals kept on cheering for him because they saw him as one of them, while most others saw him as too much of a monster to cheer for him, especially since his opponent was a well respected beacon of justice. I would also say that it makes for a better narrative, that nobody but Mary was genuinly supporting him in his fight, his character was all about giving in to despair and hedonism due to not being loved by humans nor gods and in the end Hercules unconditional love for all humans including him touching him and seemingly turning him to the better.

One of the main key points in this round was the juxtaposing characters. One who fought for humanity was a serial killer who brought terror upon humans. One who fought for the God was Hercules, a demigod who loves and protects humans. So here the humans didn't know who to root for.

Even witnessing and sending the first letter to the moon. An eventful life to say the least. Whether people agree with royalty or not, it is indisputable that she has left a mark on the Earth.
