That's an example of why I tend to prefer the US version. The US presenters unselfconsciously ramble but the Brits, despite drinking enough alcohol to render me comatose, still feel a need to maintain control and be clever. Most of the time they are trying to deliver the same lines they would if they were sober.

3:25 The truly interesting thing about 'Sir Walter & Tobacco' is that, in fact, he was smoking marijuana with the Indians; and marijuana has nicotine in it, so you become addicted to the nicotine; and, when you (an Indian) go off hunting, you don't want to be smoking marijuana, but you don't want to be withdrawing from nicotine so ... you smoke tobacco; so ... when Raleigh was leaving to go back to England, he said to the Indians, "I am going on a long journey, can I have some of that to take with me?"; the Indians, thinking he was going on a long journey and therefore did not want to withdraw from nicotine, gave him ... tobacco. What he really wanted to take back was marijuana!! Pretty sure there’s little historical basis for Queen Elizabeth being in love with Raleigh, although it’s a popular depiction. Raleigh’s relationship with Elizabeth Throckmorton was actually very romantic: they were married in secret, which was the real transgression against the queen, who imprisoned them in the Tower of London for a number of years. In trying so hard to make this funny and dramatic they made it ahistorical, even though the truth is equally interesting
