I can’t imagine anyone set out to buy this knife as a daily hard use knife. I use mine but I don’t think the “hot spots” are even an issue to me. I’m not squeezing the devil out of it. I think that’s why you don’t hear so much negativity about it…the only thing you hear is price. It’s definitely a good knife. You actually pointed out a few things that I didn’t notice even after me carrying it daily since I bought it. That being said, they are hardly an issue for me. Great review.

I love traditional style in modern folders. Jack Wolf is a very cool company. I think I'd have a pretty good chance of losing that tip though.

With so much hype on this knife, and the price tag, I agree, the small details should have been addressed. Most channels are not mentioning the valid points you bring up. I appreciate the real and honest review, and not just jumping on the "Jack Wolf is awesome" bandwagon. Granted, I do want this knife, and I do appreciate the mix of traditional/ new skool design, that doesn't mean the design flaws should be swept under the rug. Thx for your input and honest opinion Sir... well done!

Using this knife, you called out pretty much all the issues I've had with front flippers. Funny to hear you admit that's why you've got studs on the Momentum 😆Front flippers have never felt very stable to me, probably due to my small hands, so I just don't bother with them anymore. It's a beautiful knife, but I think you called out a lot of valid things that don't make it worth the money. Unless you're so in love with the design you must have it. Or you're a JW collector and money is of no concern. In fairness, you're definitely much more observant about certain aspects of knife designs. A lot of these things are never going to be noticed by the everyman out there reviewing knives. Being that you're a designer, it's got to be nigh impossible for you not to call out seemingly inconsequential things. Honesty and transparency is the way to be! I appreciate you aren't another fanboy preaching to the choir and are willing to point out legitimate criticisms. If the knife were $200, these things could be overlooked, but not at $350.

I own this knife. I don’t feel the edges are sharp. I have no pain points on this knife. It’s my 3rd JW. But! I truly don’t think this knife deserves a $350 price tag. Buy a $200 Divo Lush. Unless you are a JW fanboy. 😁

It all comes down to the small details .. not smoothing out those edges really is a nitpick of mine also. Thanks for the real review and keeping it 💯. Nobody else has addressed those issues. Just lip service.

Perhaps just a difference in toughness of hands/skin but I have no issues with mine. My only complaint with it is that it’s a front flipper & I wish that trend would fade into obscurity. So as regards the diminutive size of that protrusion, I’m glad for it. I’m hopeful that Ben seeks to work with a U.S. maker like Hogue for releases down the road. Not that WE or Bestech (whomever) has done a bad job but I’d gladly spend 50-100 more to encourage manufacturing where most of the consumers are anyway plus we’re not (quite) a communist country.

They probably omit obvious issues because they’re getting a free knife. It feels kinda obvious to me that JWK does high level carpet bombing of their knives for reviews. Not worth the price. I do wish I had their doctor’s knife-but I’m not going to pay what they’re asking for them…
