I was interested in how you emphasise the amount of space there is for a 1 man tent. In cold and wet conditions I am wearing so many layers and have a 68cm width sleeping bag - so in eg the starlight 1 I would be pressing against the inner getting wet from condensation. So those extra inches are ptactically important. In your video you even had space next to you and at your feet. Thx for posting. JMO

Yep I am a Gossamer 2 owner too, absolutely love the shape and fabric and this tent seems to be made of similar stuff. Something tells me that my Gossamer 2 will last a lifetime anyway so not looking to update to the latest yet.

Great looking tent, bit on the heavy side but the design and quality is spot on, well worth the bit of extra weight.

Adequate space is so important for meaningful cold and wet usage of a tent. But perhaps my greatest concern with the published specs, however, was that the useful extra space of the vestibule for taking off wet clothing etc was TOO big. I read it is supposedly 65cm, when often I can make 45cm work fine. I worried about the implied extra wind pressure from that extra profile. But when I look at your video, the vestibule does not look 65cm or unnecessarily large at all. Thx for posting the first online first look at this new tent. JMO.

Hi i emailed wow camping to see if they have any intention of re-stockimg this tent, an there answer was no, unfortunately every other supplier is 155 plus 14pounds delivery or 210 at jack wolfskin . It looks fantastic,but i cant understand why there isnt much about the tent across youtube an the internet? It was a great review

Hello Mr Gaziano. I have measured the interior situp height, and it is clearly a bit lower than claimed. At the front long pole: measured 95cm, stated 100cm. At the back pole, it was correct with 45cm measured and 45cm stated. This lower situp height really suits me as my major concern was that the 100cm stated would make the tent too vulnerable to wind pressure and create unnessary weight and fabric. I quite agree with you the interior space is more than a typical one person tent, and even an over 6 foot person would be quite comfortable inside. I also measured the vestibule at about 60cm and not the 65cm stated. Thx for posting.JMO.

Thanks mate , I'm 6ft 4 and can sit up inside so I'm happy with that , strange how they have exaggerated all the measurements though , 95cm height is OK for most to be able to sit up without their head touching the inner , I'm happy with the vestibule space too, enough space for backpack and boots , I'll definitely mention all that you have found out when I next use it , thanks mate 👍🏕

😂👍, yeah this is excellent value at some of the prices online at the moment, it may go up in price eventually I think , it's £210 on the jack wolfskin site but it's been as low as £109 which is superb value for a tent of this quality, hard to beat really , cheers mate , atb

The weight is 2258g!! Not 1.9kg as claimed. Hello Mr Gaziano. My north timer 1 tent arrived today, and I have set about immediately evaluating the construction and design. Something I have done is weigh the complete tent on my accurate 4 figure digital scales. The tent was not a little over the published weight of 1.9kg trail weight, but over by more than I have heard of. lt was measured at 2.258 kg. Even as you hold the tent, it feels like holding a gossamer 2, not a 1. I have checked the scales by placing my 2.00kg terra nova tent on - only grams away. I also checked by weighing 1000g of milk - only 16g over. So I am confident the measurement is correct. I have always felt the quality fabric, extra space, and durabilty features of this tent was just "too good to be true" for only 1.9kg. Therefore, my measurement is quite reasonable to me. Once again, thank you for posting the first online first look review. JMO.

Hi mate, really, that's quite a bit more than claimed on the actual bag then isn't it , to be honest mate I didn't even question it or weigh it , I would have thought it was there or there abouts the 1.9kg claimed weight, the tent is well made , ground sheet is thicker than most of my other tents , so I'm still fine with the weight of the tent , but that's quite a bit of difference, I'll mention that when I do a camp in it, thanks for the update mate 👍
