Well, you learn something new every day - or is that every video? Today’s learning: It’s Bungarra. On an earlier video I heard “bung arrow” and I thought WTF is a “bung arrow”. And, Wikipedia tells me that a Bungarra is also known as a sand goanna, a racehorse goanna, or a sand monitor. Go Gaz, Go!

Jack at 10:38 Jasmine and your dad said “that big horny one” I am still laughing. I’m so 13 at mid 40’s. lol Really good looking specimens in the first pin. My grandpa got kicked once when we were working the cattle and I said well don’t hold his ears down like that and he will quit kicking you. He didn’t find it funny like I did and I had to go to the truck for a bit. If you had a garden those ashes would make for great mix in the soil! Great stuff from everyone in this one guys! Keep it up and going.

Its funny, Danny finally has a word and informs us he is from 150 Km east of Fitzroy station, yes i know where that is, I was there many years ago and spent a couple of nights camping there. Actually ran into a American mountain lion eating Roo kill on the side of the road ( near Halls Creek), which when I got out of the vehicle to photograph but he growled and hissed and was pissed and I promptly hopped back into my vehicle. Still trying to work out how he was there but others state was most likely a result of a American unit mascot of WW2. But have still not worked exactly where your station is, but I will work it out. Relatively new subscriber to your channel; wonderful to follow a real Australian channel experience. Did not take me long to work out who the boss was and your children are darlings.

With the camels being classed as vermin/ feral do you require a permit to shoot them or just permission from the land owner/ manager.

I see you have the" branch loppers" there to shorten the horns on the animal's and it suddenly clicked on why in a previous video you were found covered in blood as the animals went up the chute for transportation. 2 questions, how short should you cut the horns and when are they too long and when should they be left alone. (too much blood loss). Second question as i am a diabetic and have to take blood thinners, how do you get the blood splatter stain's out in the laundry . Sorry just have thrown out too many clothes due to blood stains.
@annemarie76826 ай бұрын
Blood stains , cold water on stains few drops of hand soap , rubbing it with your fingers , rinse the spot in cold water ,

Jack being the boss is hardly in the yards and those that are in the yards are not wearing side arms, so it is not for protection from the cattle.. I do not know for sure, but having worked in cattle yards I would think the side arm is for any cattle that may get injured in the cattle yards and need to be put down humanly and quickly.

I have a question, the camels you shoot in the outback do you collect them and give the meat to Aboriginal families or you just leave them out there?
@xuejiaoxu677810 ай бұрын
There are lots of food safety rules around that. Even processing for dog food is not viable as there is no facilities in the bush.
@sandradunbar3399 ай бұрын
Why do you assume Aboriginal families would enjoy camel meal, Camels are not a native of Australia and are an introduce species and are classified as a pest species.

I understand controlling populations of animals but horses are pretty useful animals that are usually more valuable than cattle but I guess they’d need to be broke and trained. I’d have a bit of a hard time killing horses by the dozens. Wouldn’t china want to buy them for farming or food? Tongans eat horses here in Hawaii.
