Thanks for making this! The only experience I have flashing cars is through MHD. Knowing the exact steps on Jackal’s platform is helpful. I’m sure Matt would help walk me through it but you save him the headache that is me!

I know I am half a year past the upload date, but had a question regarding your clutch. My car(2013 b8.5 s4) is at 120k miles, and previous owner had the clutch replaced at 75k miles. I am not sure what clutch it is, but it certainly doesn't feel like it's an upgrade from stock. What are your thoughts on stage 1 Jackal tune and a stock clutch compatibility? (I understand that it all depends on the driving style and how hard you push the car, but wanted to hear any more possible input and if you've had any issues if you're on stock clutch.) I had my clutch slip once, but it was totally my fault trying to launch it up the hill. Ever since then I have never had any issues, yet I am stock tune, just got an intake and a catback. Thank you!

@JustPasha All good. Down to help as best as I can. I see. Well, just as you mention, it all depends on how you drive the car. I have never launched either of my B8 S4. Both B8 S4 were on stock clutch and my first B8 S4 had an APR tune. Both never had any slippage. I drive spirited here and there but both B8 S4 was used as a daily driver. If you plan to track, do heavy aggressive driving, or get into fun runs with others quite often I definitely recommend upgrading clutch. If it's mainly a daily driver with occasional fun than I feel stock clutch is fine. If plan to stay stock clutch I would remove the stock clutch line containing the clutch delay valve and replace it with a Stainless Steel line if you havnt done that yet. That'll help prolong your clutch in general.

do you recommend a heat exchanger even for stage 1? I got a C7.5 A6 3.0T and looking to do stage 1 and the TCU tune for the ZF8

I definitely would. I'm actually still on the stock heat exchanger and will be upgrading in the near future. The S4 is my daily and I don't race everyone on the road or track it, so right now it's not a big concern in my case.

@davidvincent9888 thanks and congrats to you as well! It took about 40min for me to receive my login info. It just depends on his availability (holidays, day of the week, etc...) I've reached out to him a few times and sometimes he responds quick and sometimes he forgets due to probably a bunch of messages from others so I usually give it a day until I send another message.

I really want to throw a tune on my b8 s4, but I heard the stock cats fail once a tunes on for a bit. Do you have test pipes on it?

I honestly feel like it all depends on how you drive and take care of the car. I've already put about 2k miles on the car with the tune and it's been good. I do not have test pipes on. I feel like it's mostly those who drives hard alot, races alot, have two steps and burbles that basically kills cats. My old B8 S4 had an APR tune that was tuned by the previous owner and I put on about 40k miles and stock cats were still fine.

@@cjscarcollection18don’t know if you’ll see this, but I just gutted my cats at 82k after being jackal stage 1 for 5k then stage 2 for 1k, and after taking them off, they were definitely starting to melt. It’s not really about how hard the car was driven, they fail because of the proximity to the engine. At some point, maybe when you’re doing motor mounts and the subframe is already dropped, I would recommend getting rid of the cats in the stock location because they will fail eventually.

You can use either or. You just need to select the correct tune either stage 1 91oct tune or stage 1 93oct tune.
