This lesson looks at 2 of the 8 clave rhythms, the 3, 2 Son and the 2, 3 Son. The clave rhythms form the rhythmic counterpoint to many different Latin American styles, such as Salsa, Mambo and Cha Cha. Often the other parts played in the percussion section (such as Cascara) are determinded by which clave pattern is used.
