That's incredible! I've heard Misstresspeck's miaowing crow, and my own magpie's occasional jackdaw impressions, but your bird has them all beaten!

That's brilliant! I've never heard a jackdaw copying a crow or a magpie before. Did you hand rear Jacko? I'm guessing that he lives wild, but comes home for food. My jackdaw, Izzy, likes to come and go, but is very much a home bird and doesn't usually disappear for more than a couple of hours at a time. Then he'll sit on the handle of the French windows, peering in, and waiting to be let back indoors again.

The crow call is a little similar to Izzy's "I see a scary dog" call, but Jacko's body language is definitely not that of a worried daw!

Sorry for the delay in replying Yes i did hand rear him and released him to the wild when he was able to take care of him self.
