Don't take this the wrong way but I have no requests for KZbin shorts, because I will never watch them. If you wanted to make short 'proper' videos I'd be all in, but KZbin shorts are the worst format in the worst video player on the planet. If I wanted TikTok (spoiler alert - I don't) I would watch TikTok. Everybody claims that they're great for channel engagement though, so I hope they work out well for you.

Personally, shorts sometimes pull me in to watch an unabridged video (if linked) or just to explore the channel. Even for coding videos.
