The thing that bugs me the most about Warzone is the plethora of unnecessary sound effects and overall terrible sound mixing... Then there's the on screen icons and HUD elements... There's just too much crap on the screen. Or at the very least it's all way too big and not opaque enough

Short answer: Because they know how to make an addictive product. They use your adrenal system and reaction to hook you to a fight or flight response. It's actually pretty wild how they use psychology to addict people to a game like this. Too intense for me, and the skill gap is so wide now it isn't fun to play anymore. Always like your content though, outside of COD ;)
