I think people just have to understand that it's a show and he's an actor playing a character. I've read that he even run lines with Rex Lee (Lloyd) before filming because he wanted to make sure he didn't get offended or took it personal. Unfortunately, I also read that he was involved in some speculations with the MeToo movement. But those charges were dismissed. Going back to my main point, it's just a show and a character. People nowadays get triggered for any little thing. It would be kinda cool if they make a remake with today's trends and technology. But I doubt it will be half as good as the original.
