The uproar started, then the very next day were the "attacks", then nobody spoke about those trillions of dollars again since the media were paid off to only speak about the attacks and not what was announced the day before. @KillerGrim4710 ай бұрын
Right!? I loved him at first then later i couldnt stand him😂😂😂
@ginao68108 ай бұрын
He was. But then they realised that was Jim’s role. Ryan was initially an entry character, which allowed the audience to be introduced to the characters and workplace. It’s a common device, it’s always a character’s first day at school (Cady in Mean Girls, Harry in Harry Potter) and someone shows them around so we the audience can be introduced to our setting. That’s why Ryan spent so much time which Michael, so we could see Michael Scott in action. But once we were into the second season, we didn’t need that device, so Ryan lost his role. They had set him up as the straight man, but realised he then served the exact same function as Jim. So they had to figure out another role for him. It wasn’t til he got the promotion that we get the Ryan we know and love (to hate). Ryan is pretty forgettable in seasons 2-4, mainly he just dates Kelly. They liked the douchebagerry of Ryan when he’s messing around Kelly, so they ran with that.

1:30 This got to be Ryan's biggest blunder by far. I mean, out of all the characters that lose respect for Ryan, Nate doesn't even like him. Sure all the characters in the office have their unique quirks, but I think we could all agree that Nate sticks out as one of the more respectable, put-together ones.
