these days dubstep has been sort of warped into two genres, true TRUE dubstep like this, or like cookie onsta - optimus prime, you know, actual dubstep. Then you have pretty much all the other stuff, the kinda stuff most of what the youtube channel dubstep gutter labels as dubstep even though 2/3rds of what's on their channel isn't even dubstep. most of it's bigroomhouse-step

@Ty2345 that's not true dubstep now is definitely heavier than old dubstep old dubstep isn't meant to be headbanged to it's meant to be listed to and appreciate new dubstep is more focused on headbanging genres like riddim, death step, brostep etc... but there is quiet a lot of new dubstep that is pretty melodic and soft that's not heavy it's something that you just vibe to and also old dubstep wasn't very melodic and colorful it was very dark gritty new dubstep especially brostep is out of this world quite wacky and it can go any at direction old dubstep is is definitely dirty and heavy but you can't go crazy and headbang to it brostep is heavy and the most important thing energy that's what's missing from old dubstep don't get me wrong i really like old dubstep i listen to it quite a lot but i prefer new dubstep more

@paul_nthny2 жыл бұрын
@Super Sharp Shooter Hey, that's true. I even have a similar comment to yours on the "Alive (Hardwell Remix)" video. About how people always think that a song sounds better when it's older. But in this case, I'm talking about the "uniqueness" of this particular song, like the original comment mentioned. And how a lot of songs nowadays don't have that aspect because of overuse of sample packs and presets. I didn't say that songs nowadays sound worse than songs back then. In fact, I actually prefer today's dubstep to dubstep back in 2010.

True fact: Squidward plays acoustic dubstep on his clarinet. The citizens of Bikini Bottom don't like it because they don't know dubstep

Damn I miss the old dubstep 😢 good times 💜 I rolled like there was no tomorrow to this. I miss you 2009. Best year of my life!

This was the first dubstep I'd ever heard, wayyy back. I clearly remember standing in the back yard at night, sharing headphones and smoking a lefty with my buddy. He was all excited to show me this "new music". I fell in love immediately. Good times.

2022, been playing this for a decade every time I need to book in for any conflict. Right before. Meetings, relationship show downs, dramas at the pub you know you have to face.
