I’m so curious if there’s a correlation between hormones and interest to incubate eggs. So - if Jackie is fertile until the end of March ( give or take) does that play a role in her possibly spending less time in the nest? I hope I made sense. I hope I didn’t upset anyone! It could affect the nest and we would be unable to watch these eagles in the years to come. I hope FOBBV will be able to buy the land instead of the developer.

These eagles are still young and can reproduce for many years to come. When the eggs do not hatch, they will gradually start leaving them and will eventually leave them for good. I am wondering if they left the nest unattended for too long, maybe that's why the eggs haven't hatched. Or did it just seem like a long time. I would think they would need to be kept warm constantly.

The eggs were not left unattended during the proper time. At present, the eggs are gradually left unattended for longer periods of time. It can be a sign of eagles moving on as the eggs are past the hatching date.
