Jackie & Shadow have a unique love language that they speak to one another. What do you think their love language is? ♥ Wish we spoke eagle-ese!
Jackie brings in two separate deliveries of fluff for the nest. Shadow is on the eggs and when she flies in they have quite the conversation. She nibbles on his head and beak and nudges him. Shadow has his own style of showing his love declarations to her. They truly are a great eagle couple to watch as they prepare the nest for their future offspring. Jackie moves a lot of fluff all around her and then she smartly pulls the fluff into the nest bowl with her! This is exactly what she needs to do! Thank you for watching!

Together as a pair they had Simba and Cookie - they banded both of them - Cookie perished on the nest due to hypothermia, Simba didn't make it that long once released. Then they had Spirit - most thought it was a female and she had Jackie and Simba's loud screams :) Stephanie

​​@@niece7959I was wondering the same, so I did some research. Since 2019, Jackie and Shadow have had 13 eggs (not counting these current ones), with 4 hatches, and 2 surviving fledges. Jackie had two eggs with Mr. B in 2018, both hatched, and one survived to fledge. If you're wondering, that's an overall 40% hatch rate, and 50% of hatchlings fledged. Here's hoping they put a new record in the record book with 100%!!!🐣🐣🐣

I just Love some Jackie and Shadow! Think they have a unique love for each other, They look out for one another. They have some stick disputes, Shadow and his sticks arre something else he also knows he can use them to get some nest time, I don't think he ever gets mad at Jackie, He just goes on somewhere else or to do something, He may think Jackie's a little verbal but he still loves her and he sneaks in some of silliness. They have their differences but it works for them. No offense to Jackie but she may be a little bossy and loud at times, But again it works for them. 😊

They did so much nest work on this day. Jackie wanted fluff and Shadow wanted sticks. He had slipped getting into the nest that morning and once the day before (when he clumsily knocked a snowball in with the eggs and quickly covered it so it would melt before Jackie found out).

They are the most loving and affectionate pair I have known. They are both so beautiful! Shadow didn’t have a voice when he first arrived at BB. Slowly but surely he got a voice. A low pitched scratchy one. I think Jackie has adjusted to Shadow. They both speak Shad language! I love it! ❤❤

Hi Lady Hawk! They do have a unique love language between them and obviously a deep understanding of each other now that they've been a couple for a decent amount of time.
