I "very" (actually "really" lol) enjoy your videos. You do an excellent job analyzing your subjects. You have a rare talent for picking up little nuances of each speaker. I like how you identify the accents from each region, which really explains why they sound the way they do. Your language and accent analyses fascinating and rather addicting! Keep up the good work! 5s for all your videos. :P
bro do u have a channel that talks about your language learning journey or for your english viewers? im interested in what languages you speak and your approach on how u learned mandarin and the others
Also consider how Jackie Chan first made his name in the west while he hasn't yet firmly grasp English (namely 1995 Rumble in the Bronx and 1998 Rush Hour), his lack of English skill often became part of the plot, or at least part of some jokes in those films. The less-than-perfect communication between him and Chris Tucker formed a major part of cultural shock which was the main selling point of Rush Hour series. I feel at that point the funnier side of his Chinglish became part of his personal brand, at least for the western markets.
Thumbs up, just subscribed to your channel, you are doing amazing work. I have been in USA since 2011, but still have big problems with my spoken English, especially I am a stay-at-home mom with a 1-year old now, not too much chance to utilize english . May need to watch more videos on KZbin , haha

DUANG。。。成龙说英语的时候很会用拟声词。Jackie is a pro of using onomatopoeia.

@@LaomaChris Especially for an action movie star, lol
Thank you very much for your comments which I could not learn them from the text book or from my teachers. Without KZbin, I could never learn English this way.

I am a Cantonese speaker. I also found that pronunciation mistakes, but it’s hard to correct. Probably I do need more practice.
Maybe your affinity for Jackie coloured your grade :) I adore the guy too but I genuinely can't think of anyone in Hollywood with worse grammar and pronunciation. Yes, his pronunciation and structure is very specific to Cantonese. It's one I recognise from my daughter's grandparents on her moms side :D "gong gong & Poh Poh"
Would you do a video on jacky cheung 張學友 (the singer)'s english? he has never lived overseas before. he had an interview with cnn in english, it's on youtube (key words: jacky cheung cnn)

Your analysis and comments are precise, your ratings tend to be lenient according to your requirement of language command. I read that the leniency is out of courtesy to their public celebrity status.

Hey Chris I’m your new follower and I like you a lot ! Do you have videos published on Chinese social media like a wechat official account so my mum can follow you as well ? You’re very professional language teacher think she’s gonna learn a lot things from you ! xx
Do keep in mind that Jacky Chan had never had any traditional education in HK! He could hire any English tutors if he choses. But, why bother at his age! He is not an actor, just a movie star. He does have much confidence in speaking Chinglish - broken English nowadays.
