To be fair even Jackie admitted all these stunts were very easy: "Camera-roll, action, jump, hospital"
@brogoram6 жыл бұрын
Dudes, most of the clips that u mentioned as 'never seen' are 'a must watch'. Jackie's best works are his asian movies. Post shaolin movies and pre rush hour. Wheels on Meals, project a 1 and 2, dragons forever, who am i, twin dragons and many more...Jackie's american movies are much 'watered down jackie' due to his age and hollywood's actor n stunts regulation.
@1Invinc6 жыл бұрын
The Armour of God and Armour of God 2 Operation Condor were really good. And of course, the original Police Story movies. Rush Hour tossed the Police Story a salute when they called him a Hong Kong Super Cop.
@spookyencounters93925 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. And make sure to watch the Cantonese language, hk versions of those films with their much better original scores. Not the horrible American tampered with versions where thry added cheap n nasty generic music in place his awesome original music cues abd end credit three songs. Avoid the American versions like the plague. That includes rumble in the bronx, which was cut down in length, redubbed and rescored. First strike and Mr nice guy, two lousy movies by Jackie's previous standards also were cut redubbed and rescored, so make sure to watch the HK versions.

Orion Jimmy I was wondering about that too. I couldn't come to a closure on it. Jackie worked as a stunt man for Bruce. Bruce opened the gates for guys like Jackie but of course, Bruce wasn't merely the right guy at the right time he was a frigging animal in martial arts. I think Jackie thought he couldn't compare to the legend and did things his way and ended up putting loads of things Bruce didn't. By not trying to walk the same path Bruce did Jackie became a legend himself. Now, who's more skilled? I have no idea and yes, I love them both.

@daya38806 жыл бұрын
I think the sound that your hear is him making it with mouth, not with hands (by punching someone), I think it’s his breathing because it’s very important to control your breathing, if you do it properly, your body will have more “power” to fight or do other physical stuff. This is only my opinion, I don’t know if I am 100 % right.
@larsgrundey46736 жыл бұрын
Dayana Boeva You are right. Breathing methods are focused on the oxygen intake and how you're body uses it to produce ATP etc.

For someone who was in his early forties at the time of filming _Rumble in the Bronx_ he was still able to do some amazing action in that film. Just look at that cartwheel that he does when that man threatens the little boy - not only does he pick up that gun whilst his hands are on the floor but he lands perfectly on that settee to point the gun at the bad guy’s head as he comes out of the bedroom, and all of that action is in one shot!

4:38 He missed the tree, fell and got a nasty head injury. But comes back to finish it. If I'm right, that shot was the second time he did the stunt after he recovered from his injuries. It shows the fall in the outtakes. He pretty much puts those stunt scene outtakes in all of his films to encourage people not to do what he did. XD

Every movie has a sound effects team that comes and adds sounds to otherwise silent scenes. The sounds you're hearing are called "foley" and they aren't always the same objects that were originally used in the scene. A lot of sounds that we hear in movies are actually added after the film has been shot. It's a pretty interesting line of work! Here's a link if you wanna check it out! kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4CWf5KGh66ajpI Aside from that, nice video! Glad to see he's getting recognition. :D

Rumble In The Bronx filmed a lot of scenes in my neighborhood when I lived in Gastown in downtown Vancouver. I never met Jackie Chan but I got to watch him film some scenes including that jump from the parkade which was about 100 feet from my building. The store they blew up was put up in an empty lot a couple blocks away where meth addicts would hang out, it looked like a real building selling real items. Tessa's sculpture studio in the 1st 2 seasons of the Highlander tv show was across the street (Blood Alley) from my building as well and Duncan's dojo he bought after she died in season 3 was 2 blocks East of that, but speaking of Highlander, y'all should check out Duncan MacLeod vs Donnie Yen in Highlander:Endgame.
