Everyone from outside america and who isnt american can say the word. The word literatly doesnt exist outside of america and americas history, so if an american gets mad or shocked over someone from an asian country or anyone from europe saying it, they are wrong and egotistical and think the rest of the world should follow their stupid rules for some reason. I say it proudly every time i sing a song with the word in it. Why shouldnt i?

Even in America, it is just a word. A word with a dark history, sure, but only a word. Feeling offended or hurt by a word is giving it the power people dont want it to have. I know that its in the end of the day a hurtful word, but the only ones that say it with actually meaning its evil intent are just losers not worth the time and energy of even being offended. I remember when I got called an N-word by someone that genuinely meant it with racist intent, and i found it so funny i laughed right at them.

It's something i never understood. Why the double standard? The word, in my opinion, shouldn't be used if one race is going to take offense if another says it. Also, its as some comments have mentioned, the word only has power if you allow it. I get called racial slurs a lot where i live, and it's mainly by black people. Im so used to being put down because of my race. It no longer affects me, and it feels more like someone saying hi to me. I used to get defensive and angry when people called me by such names, but they would say im too sensitive, and they would say that they can call me those names if they want. If that's so, why are certain races entitled to being prejudiced and racist yet never hated for it, but if you do it, you're one of the most hated, racist a$$ in the world?

@HonkaiHistory2 ай бұрын
It's not because of asians specificly. The word is commonly used in black communities as a synonyme for "dude" or "guy" or "homie". But it was also used by white people in history as racial slurs. So when black people say it among themselves it is clear that they mean it in a friendly way while when a white person says it, it feels like an awkward thing to say because of the history behind it. With all the anti-racism and pro-black people movements, especially during the last 10 years, words like that have become even more of a social taboo, one of the worst things you could say, while in some black communities it is still commonly used in a friendly way up to this day.
