The fact that you believe you must escape from the ego shows this, but you cannot escape from the ego by hummbling it or controlling it or punishing it. The ego and the Spirit do not know each other. The separated mind cannot maintain the separation except by dissoctiating. Having does this, it denies all truly natural impulses, not because the ego is a separate thing, but because you want to believe that YOU are. The ego is a device for maintaining this belief, but it is still only your decision to use the device that enables it ot endure. How can you teach someone the value of something he has deliberately thrown away? He must have thrown it away because he did not value it. You can only show him how miserable he is without it, and slowly bring it nearer so he can learn how his misery lessens as he approaches it. I am teaching you to associate misery with the ego and Joy with the Spirit. You have tausght yourself the opposite. You are still free to choose, but can you really want the rewards of the ego in the presence of the rewards of God? My Trust in You is greater than yours in Me at the moment, but it will not always be that way. Your mission is simple. You are asked to live so as to demonstrate that you are not an ego, and I do not choose God's channels wrongly. The Holy One shares My Turst and accepts My Atonement decisions because My decisions are never out of accord with His. I have said before that I am in charge of the Atonement. This is only because I completed My part in it as a man, and now complete it through others. My chosen channels cannot fail, because I will lend them MY Strength as long as theirs is wanting. You are the light of the world, Who is the light of world except God's Son? This then is the merely a statement of the truth about yourself. It is the opposite of a statement of pride, arrogance, or self-deception. It does not describe the self-concept you have made. It does not refer to any of the characteristics with which you have endowed your idols. It refers to you as you were created by God. It simply states the Truth. To the ego this idea is the epitome of self-glorification. But the ego does not understand humility mistaking it for self-debasement. Humility consists of accepting your role in salvation and in taking no other. It is not humility to insist you cannot be the light of the world if that is the function God assigned to you. It is only arrogance that would assert this function cannot be for you, and arrogance is always of the ego. True humility requires that you accept this idea because it is God's Voice which tells you it is True. This is a beginning step in accepting your real function on earth, It is a giant stride toward taking your rightful place in salvation. It is a positive assertion of your right to be saved, and an acknowledgement of the power that is given you to save others. It is the prefect answer to illusions, and therefore to all temptation. My dad took us to Longwood Gardens for several years, and when he died of Covid-19 in 2021... I was not able to comfort him in his last days, but hope he heard her singing....Sorry for your loss as well.

Jackie is phenomenal! I wish I could understand how she sings so perfectly. In an interview a few years ago, an interviewer asked Jackie if she notices that she's, "In touch," with what she is singing. Jackie's response was that she is mesmerized by the music, and it's clear to all of us that she is. She is poised, charming, polite, beautiful (in-side and out), well spoken, mature for her age, and of course a spectacular singer. She shows a lot of emotion through her facial expressions in this one. I love when she closes her eyes as she's hitting those high notes. I hope Jackie realizes what she does to her audience! Absolutely astonishing and astounding. Bravo Jackie!

It is beyond a tragedy that someone of Jackie's talent now languishes in relative obscurity, performing at C-list venues with empty seats, when once she was America's darling and was woshipped by millions. THAT is my criticism; Jackie is the antithesis of "average". She has an extraordinary voice by any measure. She has great technique, perfect intonation and an "old soul" in a 15 year-old body! You don't have to like her voice, but you raised the ire of most of us by disparaging her vocal proficiency and musicianship! Ed Cortorreal I’ve always thought Jackie was better although Amira is good, Jackie has now branched out to even more genres singing county and pop songs where she can really belt out her notes, she is further proving her ability she’s always had. She sang Celine dions “it’s all coming back to me now” which is a really hard song to sing the way Celine does. She sang an Amy whinehouse song and nailed that too. Jackie is a vocal chameleon
