Big hand for the little lady. Perhaps a more worthy comment would be appropriate, seeing that the occasion was plastered on many Networks feasting on the arrival of the Pope. There she is, as though she was on a white sand beach giving it her all and she had it all under control. Some day her star will shine brightly and someone will block any access that allows them to walk in front of her while she performs.

To underscore the state of the entertainment industry today is the scheduling involved in this event. They waste Jackie's talents by putting her on as a virtual warm-up act before the Pope's arrival then have Aretha Franklin sing Nessun Dorma for the Pope. what an embarrassment.

+Reggie Dunlop To the organizers she may have be a legend, but then again, as I've said elsewhere, much of legend status is media hype. Keep saying over and over that somebody is brilliant and eventually it's a sin to criticize them. How else would anyone think that Franklin is qualified to sing Nessun Dorma? No, Jackie doesn't have a Grammy and probably never will, despite being the youngest soloist ever to go platinum. The year she would have qualified, they dropped her category.
