so for anyone confused on my thoughts (spoiler alert! watch the video before reading this): I’m indifferent on this launch. Don’t love it, don’t hate it either. Can live with it but also can live without it. The blushes were the best “must have” part of this launch for me. I’ve also come to realize that I don’t mind sheer/minimal coverage products but this line does little to nothing if you have textured skin. there’s basically very little blurring/smoothing technology in most of the complexion products and I think I have a bigger problem with THAT more than I do the lack of coverage. If you have textured skin, approach with caution on this one! That’s it for me. Hope you guys enjoyed my review! ✨🤎

I have oily, and definitely not perfect skin. But I really love this foundation! I pair it with the No Poreblem primer from Touch in Sol, and it just looks so good! Feels like I’m not wearing anything, and my face just looks so glowy in a nice healthy way!

If you watch her Huda stick foundation test she talked about this video and how everyone assumed that she was mad that it wasn't full coverage. She said that she could get behind minimal make up but that it should still provide the long lasting and blurring effect that full coverage did. I really recommend you watch that video

You know I don’t really mind celeb makeup brands.... I think Fenty has managed to become bigger than its creator (meaning it stands on its own merits and doesn’t rely on Rihanna for people to want the products). I think when I heard Gaga doing a makeup brand, I was like OH! This makes a lot of sense! Then it was released. Hers didn’t feel like Lady Gaga.... it felt like a for sure cash grab. Ir felt like maybe she wasn’t really invested in the process ... I am thinking Rare Beauty will become like Fenty Beauty is ... I think it seems as if she’s spent a lot of time really investing her time in helping to create these products and they seem on brand for who Selena is where Haus Laboratories just did NOT feel Gaga at all.

I think this product launch really has the Asian market targeted. I live in South Korea (I'm from the States) and I can tell you that square block eye pencil is def Asian brow friendly since the brow shape trend here is a more thick straight brow. Also the pearlescent primer formula to achieve a "bright" skin tone. From the liner to the lip color style, these are what I see (and purchase) all the time. Also, Selena recently collaborated with a popular K-POP group so I would def say the Asian market was in mind when it came to creating this line.

She knows what the message is it’s not a secret. She said it in the video. The foundation advertises medium converse and that’s what it gave. No complaints there. The message of any brand has nothing to do with performance. If you have textured skin you can’t wear something that accentuates texture...it doesn’t look good. This review was technical and well explained and therefore very informative. The powder will not work for everyone’s preferences, especially those with oily skin who don’t like shine. That’s all. I like natural looking makeup but a complexion product like the “concealer” that shows some texture and doesn’t cover my dark circles isn’t worth spending my money on with that price point. If the message is natural/love your skin...there’s no point in buying it. Might as well be bare faced. 💕💕 Xoxo

I feel like the face products were for girls like me who can't and doesn't like to put a lot of layers of makeup on bc of caking. I can't put full coverage concealers under my eyes bc no matter how little I put they cake out my undereyes. Jackie and I have very different makeup preferences, I feel like her makeup is really thick but it doesn't look odd on her while I put on half a pump of the fenty hydrating foundation and nothing else. Love you Jackie, and thanks for a review that not only talks good but also bad(what you don't like or really prefer). I think this is weirdly one of my favorite looks and I think it's because the concealer is less bright and more sheer. A lot of the time I'm not a huge fan of under the eye area concealer in general cause it almost makes people look much lighter than they are. This concealer Makes it all look "your skin but better" 😍

I actually quite like the doe foot applicator on the foundation, because when I use a pump, I always end up having excess ( I use around half a pump of foundation or so, but extra always comes out). It fits with the vibe of her line, an applicator that’s suitable for minimal foundation application

A lot of Latinos aren't just white and can have a lot of indigenous in them (which is why they have brown skin). So while Latino is usually considered white a lot of Latinos have more than white in their bloodline. My mom is Mexican American and her 23andme results came back as almost 60% Native American.

I think the reason why Selena stans are on every review are because many KZbin MUAs didn't do their research about the products before using them. Many of them are expecting foundation and concealer to be full coverage like Glam Makeup, but that's not what the brand is meant for and Selena said that multiple times.

Also, sheer concealer isn't concealer (because it just can't conceal), it's a undereye brightener. @@jazziesworld103 It’s not the lack of coverage that’s an issue, it’s the fact that it does nothing to blur imperfections in the skin, which “natural looking” foundations SHOULD do. Textured skin suffers heavily from the foundation.

Jackie, Thank you for genuinely loving SKIN!! I’m so glad I started following you some years back and I’ve had the blessing of watching your success. YES! Skincare is bougie and important. I’ve been taking care of my skin since I was 16 years old. Of course, now I’m in my 50s and my skin is thankful that when I was that young I started caring for it. You know back in the day it was all about Noxema. I literally used Noxzema as a cleanser and a moisturizer yes I was moisturizing at 16. Of course NOWWW I’m fancy ( and more than a little bougie😛) . Same. I’m pretty over full coverage foundations. I like my skin to breathe now so this coverage is right up my alley now. Even the concealer! I don’t like heavy concealers because they tend to crease up on me rather badly so I much prefer hydrating, more sheer concealers. Too each their own though.

I personally bidvd that tge person in charge of selecting tge shades fir dark skinned AA has no idea about undertone as they have missed the boat on numerous occasions - hence the reason at least 6 shades should have been provided close to skin and undertone. Not impressed.

I love how honest your reviews are! I am here for it! I think your skin looks AH-MAZING! Even it may not be the right color for your skin, it looks gorgeous. I love when I see the skin overly powdered or matte. You got suck a pretty glow. I am drying to try the foundation, blush, and lipstick/gloss. Also thank you for not blurring your pores!!! I hate when I see such blurred pores and I never achieve the “look I am so good that I made my pores disappear” or “I’m so perfect that I don’t have pores”. Thank you for being real.

I love the brow pencil, I just hold it at an angle that makes up for that shape. The lip creams are awesome too. Very awesome launch for ppl who love a more natural finish. And I love the price point. Great for younger ppl just getting into makeup.

I love the outfit, blush and lip combo, it’s giving me artsy vibes like she’s that hipster cool girl that goes to NYU 🤣. I feel the exact same way about all the products tho. The blushes are definitely my favorite of the line and the foundation isn’t as oily as I thought it would be on my skin at the end of the day with a mask on on top of it.
