As a millennial, this "you're not saving" conversation is so tone deaf. I didn't start making "decent" money until I was 29. How are you supposed to save if you're barely making enough money to survive? No amount of "saving" can save a person who doesn't have discretionary income to save.

The “saving” conversation is so necessary. How am I expected to pay rent, utilities, car notes, insurance, and let’s not forget student loans and still have a healthy savings account. Being 26, I feel like the opportunities and possibilities on the horizon are endless. Seven months ago, however, and I was in the worst fog of my life. Didn't know who I was or where I wanted to go, and sought out therapy before I did anything stupid. I had a timeline on how my life should be: be married by 30, have a house by 32, have kids by 35. I thought that was what I wanted. Now I know that all I want is to maintain my sense of identity. I lost it once, and now that I think I found it again I intend to keep it. The rest will come when it comes.

This is one of the most relatable videos. I’m 25 and I feel like a failure sometimes. In this world it seems like everything is against you and you have to do everything by yourself. Like when you make a mistake you get crucified because you are an adult! Being broke and messing up your credit definitely plays a role. Now realizing that stuff like saving, maintaining credit cards, and bills are very important. The most frustrating is feeling like by mid 20 you suppose to have a set career, house, kids, and all that.

19:04 I totally agree. It's scary to recognize your dreams and go after them. I was terrified to take responsibility for myself and break away from the expectations I thought I needed to meet to be a good daughter to my immigrant parents. I finally switched my major and I'm so excited for what is to come

I just turned 30 this year, and I can’t tell you how much of a blessing this video is. 🖤🖤 My sister is only a year older than me, but she’s told me almost word-for-word what you say here, Jackie. I’m grateful for the women in our lives who love us and can help us put everything into perspective. Be well, everyone!

Thank you Jackie, I really needed this 🙏I’m 24 and just went back to uni this year after 2 years of feeling super unaccomplished I learned my lesson to take things slow and not be so hard on myself, but really that voice still does get the best of me sometimes. I’m learning to accept that voice and stop it from ruling my life

I’m a 21 year old with severe chronic health issues, I’ve been unable to work or go to school for almost 2 years. It’s been so stressful and I’ve felt like such a burden on my family. I have so many ambitions and goals but my illness takes a lot away from me. I’ve felt so guilty for not being able to do the same things like everyone else my age. I really appreciate you talking about this, Jackie. You’ve helped me realize that I don’t need to have everything figured out right now. I look up to you so much. Thank you!

I turned 22 today, and for a moment, I didn't let myself truly soak in the fact that I am now 22 and should be grateful for another year of life. I constantly feel the pressure of having my life look and be a certain way. However, 21 taught me a lot even though to this day I'm still trying to love the fuck out of life even when I feel like throwing myself in a hole 6 feet deep. Thank you Jackie for reassuring me and for knocking some sense into me.
