I love finally seeing a true Joe Locke Stan reacting to the trailer. I saw it and screamed the second he was on the screen. Joe is Playing Billy Kaplan, who is the son of the Scarlet Witch (there is a huge backstory there). He had reality-warping abilities, is openly gay and married to the King of the Universe (in the latest comics- always openly gay), and is considered one of the most power being in the universe- more powerful then even his mother. We're seeing Billy's beginning in this. Joe is already rumored to be filming Young Avengers come Jan and supposedly they're announcing a Wiccan show at D23 in August so we're getting more of him! Also, chest his interview on the JImmy Kimmel live, they show a very short clip of him speaking with his 'American' accent, which is so subtle and good!

Officially, they have not announced that Joe is playing Billy. So far, he’s a “suspicious goth gay teen” or something like that. It is assumed (and likely) that that means Billy, but who knows?

Joe locke is playing Wiccan from the MCU. A gay teen with the same abilities of his mother, Wanda maximoff. He's the strongest being in the entire MCU. This show is probably how he discovers his powers.

Yes, Wandavision takes place almost immediately after Endgame and shows what happened with Wanda and Vision. That’s really all you need to see before seeing Agatha all along!

I would strongly recommend reading the original Young Avengers series of Marvel comics where Billy Caplan first shows up. Will give a bit of context (although obviously much will be changed) but also a great series.

I’ve only watched Wandavision (which introduces Agatha and sets up for this show - same creative team), and read up a bit around wanda and her sons. It’s quite an interesting and also baffling show, but I don’t feel the need to watch anything else to prep for this. I’m hoping some other Heartstopper reactors will get into Agatha too as I’d far rather watch you all react than the more traditional MCU reactors!

As for backstory and what you need to watch before you see Agatha All Along: it's the 9-episode mini-series WandaVision and the second Dr. Strange movie titled 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness'. With you having watched the Infinity Saga thru the end of Endgame you should be familiar with the main leads of WandaVision: the titular former Avengers, Wanda and Vision. Trust us, the first several episodes won't make much sense -- but you'll be hooked by the end of episode 3. Kathryn Hahn's character is introduced in WandaVision and has a very important story-arc that leads directly into Agatha All Along (it's basically a quasi-sequel/spinoff of WandaVision). And while Dr. Strange 2 may not have much to do with Agatha, it is important to see because it continues Wanda's story and (possibly/probably) sets up the story for Joe Locke's character. In a nutshell: watch WandVision then the second Dr. Strange movie, IN THAT ORDER (watch WandaVision first).

The first time I saw Patti was in a TV show from the late 80s/early 90s where she played the mom - it was called “Life Goes On” - it was really good. Anyway, after that I found out she was a singer as well and followed her Broadway career ❤ I love comic stuff and Wandavision is really good - so you should definitely watch to prepare. Yes! To understand the Agatha character, it is essential to watch WandaVision. But to understand that show, you would have to understand Wanda Maximoff. Agatha is linked to the Scarlet Witch character so understanding that character's arc will help also. The films, Captain America: Civil War, Infinity War, Endgame & Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are important. WandaVision alludes to a brother so if you want to understand that better, you can watch Age of Ultron, where Wanda was introduced. Sounds like a lot of research but if you want to understand all the nuances of the show, the above will definitely give everything you need. Joe Locke's character is rumored to be connected to Scarlet Witch and if that is true, you will want to know everything about the Scarlet Witch in the MCU. All I can say, without spoiling, is Joe's character, if the rumors are true, is an extremely important character for the MCU.

Yes, please watch Wandavision, it's a surprisingly beautiful exploration of nostalgia and grief. It's possibly my favorite Marvel project so far. While Multiverse of Madness definitely has issues when it comes to the writing and Wanda's portrayal but I still enjoyed it.

Well in Marvel everything connected at some point but Wandavision than Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness would be enough to understand Agatha All Along. But like I said MCU is like TV series. Each episode 2 hour long. Just like our Turkish TV series. I watched Heart Stopper and I agree with you. I'm gonna watch Joe's other stuff.

You should watch Wandavision and Doctor Strange and the Multivers of Madness as I am sure many others will recommend. I would also recommend Werewolf by Night to see how Marvel handles horror/supernatural events as I think it will prepare you for the tone of this show. If Multiverse of Madness confuses you watch Season 1 of Loki but probably not needed to understand Agatha All Along.

Hiiiighly recommend Wandavision because it's just a great show that I think you'd like. The Doctor Strange movie was okay, but may be a bit more confusing without the decade+ of MCU content for context. I'd recommend looking up Screen Crush's 'what you need to know before watching Wandavision' instead of slogging through a bunch of movies that aren't a genre you usually enjoy. They'll probably do one for 'what you need to know before watching Agatha All Along' as well.

Watch WandaVision. If you’ve watched all of the Marvel “endgame” movies, WV will make sense. However, it will make zero sense at first - stick with it. After I watched it once, I read the “what’s going on in WV”, then watched it again & it made so much more sense. You don’t need to watch it twice, but maybe read the summaries before (or after) you watch it. Definitely watch WandaVision.

I wanted to say something in honor of "lnternational Non-Binary day", how amazing if you would react to DRUCK Ismail S7. It was the only non-binary main story portrayed by a non-binary actor. I understand that you've paused reacting to Skamverse series...and l agree... the more interesting seasons were the gay stories. However Isi & Sascha was so beautiful but mostly overlooked by reaction vloggers. l have yet to watch any decent or worthy reactions to it. I started to get into Marvel back in 2011 when I found about a "Scarlet Witch" and I think for any non Marvel fans, WandaVision is a masterpiece. Watching it every weeks was making me wonder what the f was going on and it was just a delight to give more space to Wanda and discover Kathryn Hahn as Agatha. This is about to bring a whole other touch that is much needed in the mcu. In the comics Agatha was until recently just an old nanny and teacher for the new generation of X-Men ans she's known to be a survivant of the Salem Witch Trials but the character got a kick off popularity and she's trying to rebuild the Darkhold BUT YEAH anyway I suggest you to watch Wandavision and Dr Strange 2 before getting into Agatha, but definitely Wandavision.
