When I was a teenager in the 70s, my life was tumultuous. My father's health was failing and our family was struggling financially. But, music was my lifeline. It raised my spirits. I would sing this particular song all the time. I remember the static that surrounded Barry's success and deemed that God blessed who He wants. I'm thankful that He did. RIP Barry White, we Texans, have an obligation to love and respect all our gifted brothers and sisters in the world of music. You were truly inspirational. From the sands of Galveston, you built castles of music across the world.
