I’m glad Jack mentioned mining since the 1.18 update. It’s so frustrating to mine and just get stacks and stacks of deep slate and so few diamonds

I mean, strip mining is/was intentionally made slightly less beneficial and exploring was made substantially more beneficial, previously strip mining was the easiest way to bulk on diamonds which is boring for most players. Where as exploring is inherently at the heart of Minecraft.

@@aurockson2696 after watching for about an hour, I did more research into the new mining system and it does make more sense to me now. Someone suggested what levels to look for all the minerals. I had no idea about not being able to go to one level to get all the minerals

Jack, strip mining really isn't great since 1.18. I find it much faster, as well as more fun, to actually go caving instead of strip mining. And also, diamonds are found all throughout the deepslate layers, they just get more common the lower you go.

Not sure if it's the same as when I started playing, years ago. But the crops will only grow overnight with torches, if you don't sleep I believe. Otherwise, if you do sleep, they will only grow when you are active, during the day. Glad to see you streaming again! Great job as always
