JACKPOT NEVADA to LAS VEGAS on US HIGHWAY 93 - Scenic Sunday Drive

Today's Scenic Sunday Drive takes place in eastern Nevada, primarily along US Highway 93 and Nevada Highway 318, between the Idaho state line at Jackpot to Las Vegas; a drive of approximately 450 miles.
We'll start with a cruise through Jackpot, Nevada on US Highway 93.
Next we'll drive to Ely, where we'll take the shortcut on US Highway 6 and Nevada Highway 318; a 135 mile shortcut that saves 40 miles!
Finally, we'll arrive in Las Vegas.

Thanks man for the video!, taking a trip out to LV from WA (North of Seattle) summer of 2020, plan on taking that same route you did. Quick question you stated in your video that their is no cell reception along the route?. Is that the whole route or just spotty cell reception?. Again thanks for the video!.

I have Verizon cell service, which I find has better overall coverage around the country then AT&T. The cell reception along this route is spotty, mostly between Ely and where US 93 connects with I-15 north of Las Vegas. Perhaps the coverage will improve by the time you plan to make your trip. One of the GREAT things about driving in the "sticks and boonies" of the American west is that you can get NAKED right on the side of the road during the middle of the day if you can see ZERO other motor vehiles for 5 miles or more in both directions. Once I get a car and can get out to the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones I'm gonna do me some of that. Pull my car over to the side of the road and walk around the immediate area for a few minutes wearing nothing but my sneakers...............(8^P

Hi everybody, this is the very first time I viewed your video! It's like I'm in the front seat driving as well as riding shotgun! The Nevada scenic view is an excellent experience! Now, I don't know if you have driven in a certain area I'm about to mentioned, but try to drive in the NYC metropolitan area which I reside in and send your experience for everybody to enjoy! It's pretty desolate and cell phone coverage may still be spotty in some parts of the drive. I find the drive scenic and relaxing and have always enjoyed it.

Does the change in elevation along your travels make it more difficult to breathe with the thinner air higher up? @7:34 nice little canyon you're driving through. Bet the kids in the area are home schooled. Otherwise that is a long bus/car ride to school.

Nah, you have to get much higher that 6000'+ to starting having issues breathing. I've been over 10,000' while trucking.
