Me and Jan used Hearty Rise 13ft and 14.6ft with penn slammer 5000 and authority 6500 braid 50lb and most importantly the landit hooks size 8 a must. Bait was chokka but we had to add pike fillets for the win

@TheFishingMob I live in sir Lowry's pass village don't have any means to get to the water I used to fish at the dam for years grew up fishing there and strandfontein was on the front page of the stywe lyne 1999 with a 64.5 kob at the dam
