Cracking work mate on these … enjoyed the ‘giggles’ and musings of a contented painter.
@JackSargePainting4 ай бұрын
Thanks for sending them down Alby. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy painting this period.

My Pleasure … there will definitely be more at some stage, perhaps some more ‘bloody miniatures’.

Yes indeed Rob, it's no wonder it is so perennially popular with wargamers, military modellers and armchair historians. Thanks for the kind and encouraging words.

Splendid painting. The Richard Sharpe figure is Richard produced by Stronghold Terrain if anyone is curious to know.

Thanks Paul, much appreciated. Good call on the Sharpe miniature.

Those Naps are lovely! 👍 I especially like the Austrians. Their hussars have great colours. You got me again this week with the paints 😝 - really like the Russian green and I’ve been struggling to get nice greens recently so doubly whammy! Thanks for the tip on Richard Abbot’s site - very dangerous for paint addicts 😂.

Thanks Andy! So glad the tips were useful and may have induced more paint purchases :-D I'm glad Kent mentioned the Richard Abbot site too, very handy and bookmarked :-)

Great work John, love this period also 👍 Hussars etc would be cool to do also 👋
@JackSargePainting4 ай бұрын
Thanks Paul. Yes, they would be cool, I've painted a few in 1/72 but not sure if I've done many in 28mm.

ancients are also tough for me to commit to painting
@JackSargePainting4 ай бұрын
Yes, I'm happy to paint them for other folks, but they don't enthuse me personally speaking.

Awesome work, mate. doing a few small Naps myself....alongside the darkage , I couldn't collect napoleonics in 28's either, just not enough room 🤷

Awesome, don’t think that game needs a very big table or there is Muskets and Tomahawks…
@JackSargePainting4 ай бұрын
Cheers Mark! Yes, Silver Bayonet probably doesn't need much space. Were your Napoleonics for the Shakos & Bayonets rules?
@KramGnilrad4 ай бұрын
No, the Württemberg chaps are for muskets and tomahawks. You will find 13 more in my resent parcel 📦 😮 which seems to be having a holiday in Melbourne 😅
@JackSargePainting4 ай бұрын
@@KramGnilrad I thought Shakos was the Napoleonic variant of M&T? Cool, more Württemberg, looking forward to seeing them - sorry to hear about the parcel delay, hopefully here soon. 🙂
@KramGnilrad4 ай бұрын
Sorry, miss read, yes they are for the Shako’s and Bayonets supplement for M&T 😊

Ancients put me off. Too much flesh.
@JackSargePainting4 ай бұрын
I don't mind the flesh so much, it just doesn't capture my imagination the same way other eras do.

@@JackSargePainting More films to the standard of Gladiator, or TV series to the standard of Rome or Spartacus would help. I'm going back to Dark Ages stuff soon but there's no way I can stomach all of Last Kingdom.
