You have about 8 seconds when lights start flickering (Hunt starting) to shut yourself in a room or closet or something and hide, close the door, turn flashlights off and don’t make a sound, even off of voice chat, the ghosts walk halls first and the mic is always on for the game, even if not using the push-to-talk. You can spam the walkie talkie from the van to let the people inside know that activity is at a 10 and a hunt is happening (you can hear the walkie talkie activate but communications won’t actually go through during hunt, my friends and I have taken to hitting it five times to let everyone know). Once the hunt is over (activity down), the person in the van can contact the people inside again to let them know they’re okay. Also, holding the crucifix will work, placing it in the ghost’s room may not. You get two saves from the crucifix and then it breaks, and it has a small radius, so the person holding it should probably be in the middle of the room or everyone stacked on each other (you can position yourself so that the crucifix is visible against other people’s bodies during a hunt since it’s hard to tell if it’s still in your hand when the lights are off). Smudge sticks only delay the hunt to give you extra time to hide. Spirit box tends to work best in total darkness, and there’s a steam community guide when you hit shift+tab with aaaall of the questions and keywords you can use (including the ones you should “NEVER SAY”, which, again, means at all because the mic is always open). My friends and I also give each other the name of the ghost using pig Latin to avoid actually saying the name and making the ghost angry until we want it to. 0 sanity doesn’t mean death, it just means you are now the prime target. I believe if the average of sanity of people in the house is under 50, hunts will start. It can be a good strategy to intentionally let your sanity drop to have more paranormal events happen, risk/reward type of thinking. I think that’s all I know at the moment

Two famous examples of a revenant: The Crow, though his came with a twist in the form of his link with the bird that resurrected him. Then there's Jason Voorhees, the ultimate, quintessential revenant. Strong, tough as tough gets, and out for revenge. Definitely not one to provoke in any way whatsoever.

YOU CANNOT throw the crucifix on the ground when ghost starts hunting. YOU have to set the crucifix near a spot, room, or hallway. U can place it anywhere where you think the ghost will be hunting or where you think the ghost might walk to. There is a 3 meter range with crucifix and 5 meter for banshee. Like so jack can see

Reply for anyone digging through comments on crucifix : Crucifix works by putting it on the floor. It now has a 3m bubble around it that cancels initiating an attack. When the ghost hunts it will pick a spot in or near the ghost room to appear. When it appears it will check "Is where I am standing inside the bubble?" If yes it will call off the attack and disappear. If no it will carry out the attack like normal. It does nothing if it spawns outside the bubble then walks over the crucifix. Crucifix only stops it from initiating a hunt, but does nothing once the hunt has already begun. Put them in the ghost room or immediately around it, cover as much space as possible. And if the RNG gods are in your favor the ghost will spawn inside the range of one and call off the attack. There is no notification a crucifix has been used, only a 10 spike on the van's screen which immediately plummets back to 0. No audio cues or visual cues or anything.

Right‽ I backed it up like four times just to hear Wade yelling his name. The terror sounded so genuine and it made me smile because moments like that point out that they really are friends. Someone else said it was acting, but I know that I've had moments like that where I knew I was playing a game but didn't want my friends to die. I've never played this game myself (and wouldn't handle it well) but it's a good game from what I've seen from Sean's videos, especially since it's able to bring out that type of reaction from the people playing

Some tips for the game: When it says death, kill, attack, etc., that means it's about to go into hunting mode. This is the same for when the lights start flashing. When you think you're gonna be attacked, hide. Be TOTALLY quiet, as The game has voice recognition which means it can hear you when you make noise. You're more likely to be attacked with lower sanity Your sanity goes down faster when you see a ghost, or when you're in total darkness

also: when asking the ghost a question, don't say the name. When you say the name the question cancels out and it is just registered as you saying the ghost's name, making them even madder.

The ghost can only attack when in hunting mode that is when your flashlights are flickering, the front door is locked and comms are down. You can outrun all ghost types except 2(or 3 I'm not sure). Taking photos of Evidences such as Dead Bodies of your mates, Fingerprints, Ghost writing earns you money. Hunts can start even if the Ghost isn't near you, the Ghost can be in the basement while everyone is in the 2nd floor and a hunt can still start meaning if you stay completely quiet and hide in a room then you're safe, ghosts are very dumb and losing line of sight with it is all you need to be safe which is why all you need to do is get into a room. You don't need to worry about it opening the door because it doesn't need to open doors AFAIK and can just go through them but since it had just lost line of sight with you, 90% it won't find you unless you're loud and Ghosts always hear you regardless if you're using push to talk, it's always on for the ghost. Dirty sink objectives are hard to accomplish as well since the sink needs to be beside or inside the haunted room for the ghost to actually turn on the water so if you get that objective, you shouldn't bother finishing it. He decides to go upstairs. Maybe he would get the book before he can die. As he runs up the stairs, he feels something grabbing him, and the door swings open, everyone noticing him on the last inch of his life. He crawls desperately up the staircase. “Sean, Sean, come here, it’s alright! It’s over, you’re fine!-“ And as he turns, his last breath is taken, and his body tumbles down the stairs. Advice for jackaboy and company! 1. Take pictures of the ghost, dead bodies, fingerprints, bones to get more XP and money 2. Dirty water only appears when the ghost is near the sink and turns the water on itself 3. Throw the crucifix at the ghost BEFORE the hunt happens to stop the hunt, or place them on the ground in a radius around where the ghost initially appears and it will stop the hunt that way as well. 4. You don't need to bring out your supplies, you always get them back when you leave. If you die, then you lose your items. Happy Hunting!

Actually for the sink objective you can turn it on and leave water in the sink to help it along. Saying the ghost name to trigger activity can help the water become dirty but it doesn’t always work. The other advice you gave is spot on, and always pick up the bone after taking a picture of it
