Trying this again. Can someone let Jack know about SssniperWolf's second channel, SssniperWolf Top Videos. It's an official channel that's linked from her main page, under "Channels" tab. It's all the same content but in "30 min. compilation" form. It's current and active and even has an upload schedule, Tues, Thurs, Sat., 10 AM (PST). I'm sure you content creators would like to know about this other channel and how it's just another lazy way to steal money from y'all. I don't use Twitch or Discord so it's up to you kids to pass this message on to Jack. If anything, it'll probably make for better content for Jack and us to enjoy!

That email is insane. Imagine deluding yourself into thinking you have any moral ground to stand on to shame someone who you stole something from.
I’m more annoyed they think they’re entitled to gain _anything_ from what someone ELSE worked hard for. they’re literally going up to a stranger and demanding they get a cut of their paycheque. it’s literally robbery. these people are wastes of life. they give nothing, they do nothing but expect everything to go their way. don’t sugar coat it. if I wrote my name down instead of yours upon you clocking into an 8 hour shift, I’d be stealing credit and therefore money from you, that would be illegal but these people think they’re above everyone else. the internet has made the worthless even more worthless. not saying the older days are better but at least these people would be forced to move off their chairs. I used to follow meme pages a few years ago, they get MILLIONS of views and followers from stealing. even with this, they’re STILL greedy. I had to unfollow them all because all they did was promote awful drop shipping websites. there’s YT channels doing the same thing. you watch ANY Tiktok compilation video and halfway through, they’ll be tryna promote some suspiciously cheap clothing with pictures you know are stolen from elsewhere- like you are just dumb if you think you’re getting what’s being shown in the pictures. it’s disgusting.

I've been getting them taken down but it's so time consuming and never-ending, by the time one gets taken down 3 new ones pop up, it's exhausting. And my channel isn't even that big! For anyone who thinks that these reposts somehow "help" creators and give them "exposure," - they don't, as a creator you gain NOTHING from it. In this day and age it's extremely rare for anyone to look up a creator they saw on some random page, people just don't care. Bro it’s just memes.. this idea that people deserve credit for everything they do is crazy. It’s like I created the idea of rectangular video format and every video I see is in a rectangular format yet no one credits me for that! People criticize people for this stuff then get on Facebook and share memes they didn’t create, repost quotes and sayings they didn’t create, watch the news and shows like americas funniest home videos. People definitely deserve credit for stuff they create no doubt but the fair use law says “transformative” for using like comedy and commentary. People find reaction videos funny, and technically for it to be transformative you don’t have to do much. If people didn’t love it they wouldn’t watch it but clearly the people do love it. Personally I love reaction videos better than the original because many times they compile multiple viral videos and make them funnier. I like seeing other peoples reactions and I’m not alone. Millions of other people enjoy it too. Let people enjoy what they enjoy and y’all keep enjoying crap like this where this dude literally weaseled his way into popular KZbinrs algorithms by hating on them. A bit ironic isn’t it? One of my Lady Dimitrescu animations took off on TikTok about two years ago (where she says "This is what dying feels like" and jumps on the camera) and was a big meme over there for a bit with people recreating it and reacting to it, etc. What really ticked me off was one of the reuploaders commenting something to the effect of "Was playing around on the computer, came up with this, thought I'd upload it", and this was the only person from my memory claiming they created the video. If it goes viral elsewhere, I don't care that much, it is up to me to watermark and protect my content if I were more proactive (not that I think that should be a concern, but thieves like this make it essential), but taking credit and acting like they made my animation is what causes my blood to boil. I'm upset I can't even remember which freebooter commented that, but I imagine I would get the same limp dick email that *should* warrant the fear of a real world ass-kicking. Okay, maybe I rescind using actual violence, but there needs to be the fear of not pissing off the wrong person. We should all be diplomatic and understanding as adults, but the unearned confidence these losers give with emails like that shows they never got comeuppance for shitty behavior.

Hey jack! I also got freebooted but in the STRANGEST way. I do videos on taking apart on modifying tech. I once did a short on modifying my car stereo, very normal for what I do. It was a pretty big project and was happy with it? Especially since I got a good amount of views. On a monthly basis now I have someone reaching out to me and telling me “hey dude this account is reposting your videos and using it to sell their own car stereo products”. This has happened several times, across several accounts, no credit, no linking to me, nothing. Just straight up impersonating me, and LITERALLY using my videos for their own profit. I even got one of my own videos served to me as a TIKTOK ad once and I just stood there speechless. The TikTok copyright system is REALLY jank and is buried in their resource site. And for everyone I catch; there’s two more than pop up. This system needs to be fixed because people are quite literally using my videos for profit. Short form content is the reason freebooting has been insane in the last few years. TikTok, Reels, and somehow KZbin Shorts is actually insanely damaging for content creators nowadays, all these platforms need to put in copyright claim system in place asap.
@meinkraft501 Жыл бұрын
Well the one they have in place at the moment damn near killed original content too

I thought shorts would be, you know, short. But most of them now are just freebooting content and using a shitty AI voice to explain the video that literally needs no explanation
@gummybrad Жыл бұрын
@@familyguysofunny1933 And they use an AI voice to hide their identity while racking in millions of views and lots of money, and the platforms that don't pfv will just have the accounts sold after getting thousands/millions of followers.

It’s genuinely great to see all this happening. I’m not a video content creator, but I am an artist, and art circles right now are dealing with enormous amounts of theft, in the form of stealing artist work and intellectual property for AI and NFT uses. Artists intellectual properties are being taken without their permission and shoved into a data base to “make art” off of other artists work, and it’s honestly really disheartening and sad to see. Seeing all this has given me a bit of hope, that things like this can change and do some good.

yeah, it's made me super anxious about my deviant art and newgrounds, i dont think its happened to me yet, but i noticed deviant art has a weird "AI protection" thing when you post, but it goes away after a few days for some reason, idk its really weird.

I'd rather have people pause a video 20 times when they react to a video than just them sitting there do nothing
@quinintheclouds Жыл бұрын
SAME OMG. Occasionally I do reactions on my side channel, and every time I feel the need to apologize for pausing so much and rewinding if I miss something, but I would SO MUCH RATHER watch a reactor actually share their thoughts (without talking over the video and missing important things) and clearly care/add to what they're watching.
@alpacawizardman6778 Жыл бұрын
If they keep pausing it to point out stuff, that usually means they’re actually engaged with the video, which is automatically better than them sitting in silence.

it's been slow going but holy f is it great to see others speaking up and protesting against blatantly stolen content. I've been making youtube videos for as long as Jack has--I remember when half a second of footage from a movie you were reviewing could get your whole video banned. now all these mainstream platforms just let others blatantly rip off others' content and they just...don't care? I unfollowed a tiktok creator i liked recently because he livestreamed an entire Hobbit movie WITHOUT EVEN BEING ON SCREEN (with tips turned on the whole time, of course). Of course these pieces of feces are already millionaires thanks to all the stolen content, but the very least KZbin etc. could do is STOP GIVING THEM -MORE- MONEY. I don't have much hope, though. I've watched these platforms get bigger and bigger and worse and worse, and nothing ever turns out well, once they get caught enough times doing one bad thing, they just shift and start doing something else bad. but thank you to oldbies like Jack for fighting the good fight in pointing out how awful and corrupt this sheet is...

I've had hundreds of videos stolen that have likely amounted to billions of views over the years. Instagram, Reddit, Tiktok, Facebook mostly. And for the most part my channel didn't get that much traction and I've never made much money from this directly. I do have something called "Content ID claim" though which I think is what you mentioned around 14:50. Content ID claim for me only works on KZbin though, and people aren't stealing my stuff on this platform as much. I can still make $300-$1k a month-ish from that so I encourage creators to look into it. If a channel like SSSniperwolf took my video, I'd likely get a tiny portion of her insane revenue which is good. She likely wouldn't remove it cuz she wouldn't get that scary copyright legal request. But I don't really know how it works on the other end.
