Excellent video and loving the guitar. I’ve also got a single rectifier which kicks ass I also thought there was something wrong with my amp due to volume drop. All it needed was for the pins to be cleaned and also the input jack as well and it solved the problem

Love what you did with the tone knob. The guitar looks even better. I hope the sound improved now. BTW - love your hair too bro 😁. Cheers from Hyderabad - India

How is your experience with this instrument bro.

The hole might be too big now but it gives you the opportunity to install a killswitch on it. It'd be even shallower than that rubber plug.

Man I am getting one. Since I found out the 7th string is just another lower bass string and the rest of the strings are still normal 6 string, I must get one...

How was the changing of tuners? Was it easy to change?
@jimmyppunk3 жыл бұрын
Actually yes! There were no drilling for holes to mount them. You just needed to wrench them on from the top of the guitar. Very well thought out.

I usually wouldn't comment on a year old video, but I see you are using an Avatar 2x12 cab. I use one of their Contemporary 2x12 cabs loaded with Hellatone 60's, which are just Avatar rebranded V30's that have been broken in by Avatar in their shop. I'm currently running a PRS MT15 head through it, and it sounds huge. Tons of low end. I just bought a JS series 7-string today. It's the model above yours I guess. It has a veneer quilt maple top w/trans black burst gloss finish, bound fretboard and headstock and Jacksons newer fixed bridge that looks like a standard Hipshot. I have multiple JS series guitars. They seem to be pretty solid "budget" pieces. Good mod platforms. The high point being the neck profile. I love the Jackson "Speed Neck" profile. Not too many companies do a good, thin D profile anymore. To get a neck like this with compound radius at such a low price point is definitely a win/win scenario. The JS series plastic nut sucks though. Anyone who buys a fixed bridge JS with standard Jackson inline headstock should automatically budget for a graphite nut replacement. IMO it's a mandatory upgrade. The tuners are also junk. I did put locking tuners on mine, but the sticky nuts are most definitely priority #1.

I just bought this guitar today, and actually chose it Over the more expensive Schecter Demon 7.....after spending time playing both, the Jackson just felt MORE metal to me, and had hotter pickups, and the bottom Clearly sounded more Fat. I would never buy a JS....usually spend $1000+ on my guitars, but this guitar just fit the bill, and $200 was practically theft......the tuners Are crap(but work for now), everything else seems good....I'm only playing 7 string on the side, as I have 6 other guitars to play. But definitely scratches that Itch to play 7 string.

Would you recommend this 7 string guitar? I got an ESP LTD M-17 7 that's almost 6 years old. Definitely will replace that guitar with this one. Will definitely test this guitar out with my DIgitech Drop pedal since I can't afford to buy an 8 string! Will this guitar allow me to tune it down to Drop G, and Drop E? Since it has a 26.5 inch scale. Let me know if you recommend this guitar! Fill free to subscribe to my youtube channel! Got over 100 subs and would love to get more subscribers! Feedback's much appreciated!

Hey my guy! If you're looking for a cheap 7 string to start out with, then yes I would recommend it. If you really want to make it more solid I recommend the upgrades that I did such as the bridge and the tuners. For $200 you can't go wrong with it. Thanks for checking out the video man! Keep rocking!🤘🤟

Can you please do a demo of this guitar in Drop G at some point? I tuned down my old ESP LTD M-17 to Drop G, and the Low B string kept going out of tune, due to the shitty 25.5 inch scale my ESP had. Lol. So glad that guitar's out of my hands. ESP sucks. Just kidding about that. But seriously, at least this guitar will be a step-up from my old ESP 7 string. I know this guitar will sound badass plugged into my Peavey Vypyr VIP2 once I get it in my hands soon. I'm definitely going to get the Jackson JS22 7 that has the poplar body for sure.
