Looking at a used 2015 big rig, man do I miss when KZbin videos was all meat and no filler. Can’t find videos like this without 10min of bs in between, thank you for this

i just noticed i cut the part out about the weight..... big dummy ;) i talked about it but it got cut in the edits, sorry ! the Big Rig is 92lbs without the seat and the HD is 79 without the seat. you lose a little more without the console. Even though the Rig is 92lbs, it is well balanced when lifted. I regularly truck topped mine on my Tacoma and have a video to help picking them up if y'all have a hankerin' to see it, just check my video list.

How does the Cruise 12 compare to the Coosa HD as far as stability and standing? Great vid -
@ChrisFunktheFeralOne8 жыл бұрын
i fished a Cruise 12 for a couple years and really liked it, clean, light, easy to paddle and quite stable, but it is nowhere as stable as the HD to me. with the HD i have stood to bowfish and throw a 8ft castnet and i am not sure i would feel comfortable doing that in the Cruise. hope that helps a bit!

It does, thank you sir and keep up the great work!

Is 330 pounds to much for the coosa hd ? I currently have a 2015 big rig but would like to get something to add to the fleet that's more suited to rivers and creeks
@ChrisFunktheFeralOne8 жыл бұрын
chris caluori i do not think so personally. i have paddled it at 280 with a pile of fishing and camera gear putting me well in that range and it handles moving water wonderfully!

Chris Funk, the Feral One thanks man ... can't wait to add this to my fleet .

chris caluori I was 310 geared up for a 5 day fishing and camping trip with wayyy to much food and gear. then my kayak sprung a leak. It handled me, the gear, and half a hall full of water. yes I could tell I was taking on water it was very slow moving with all the water and my gear. however it was floating. It will hold your weight and some easily. I have pics if you'd like to see how high the water got in the hall. But the coosa hd is a beast!! you should have no problem. water test one out!! you'll love it

Love my 2014 Big Rig. On your video, there is a nice kayak stand on the left side. WHere may I purchase one of those or who made it? Thx for sharing Chris

Does the 2015 have a swivel seat? If not, is one available?
@ChrisFunktheFeralOne9 жыл бұрын
Tom Spithaler no sir, no swivel seats available in the Jackson line but I can turn sideways and sit comfortably in the HD and the Big Rig. probably more so in the Rig because I can put my feet in the rod troughs.

Really enjoy your videos. The decal and throwing the water cracks me up every time. Having trouble deciding what to get. Currently have an older Wilderness Tarpon 140 that was given to me. I can't stand the seating position and after a few hrs and my butt is done. I need some seat height. The seating position(s) along with all the included features is why I am leaning towards getting a Jackson. I spend the majority of my time fishing alone for bass in 200-500 acre ponds. The Big Rig appeals to me the most with it's big width and included stand-up bar, but it does look like a beast. I'm a fit/strong 40yr old 5' 10" and would just toss it in the bed of my Silverado. Looking at Jackson's comparison chart, the Coosa HD, Kilroy, and Cuda 12 all have pretty much the same number of stars in each category. The cost isn't a concern and there doesn't seem to be a dealer near me that has them available to try out. Any suggestions based on my little novella I just wrote? Do they make stand up bars for the others? Thanks in advance.

What's a good stand alone storage system for these for winter?

Great video. Very interesting. I would love to see a comparison between the Cuda HD (2017) vs. Coosa HD. Thanks for the information.
