Excellent guitar! I've had couple of these early 90s ones. I can highly recommend them.

Found a trans blue fusion pro on marketplace for $100 beat up but repairable and had all the j200s and j50b in it, ebony with sharkfins. Dude wouldn't answer me. Really bummed but im building my js34q trans blue out now into a long scale Fusion Pro with a maple fretboard. Just got two USA wound J200s and found a repro je 1500 for 50 bucks. May leave the stock modern bridge humbucker in and see how that sounds but will most likely put an original j80 or j90 in the bridge. Ballin on a budget.

I think the 5 way switch is similar to Ibanez, although no coil split on the Jackson. Replace it with a trad open 5 way. If you know what the mini switch does then there should be some info out there if you're willing to do a little detective work and piece different sources together.

Hey man so can you tell me I just got a Jackson Professional that's written on the headstock for $200 it's a flying V what's the difference between what they make today or made after that do you know cause I could start to find any information

The ones made in 1990/91 had been built and spec'd just like USA ones if not better. Quartersawn neck, ebony fingerboard, real MOP inlays, quality wood, Schaller Floyd Rose and overall built quality, attention to details.

@@deadheadbetty6663 The above information is true for the top of the line "Pro" models but there were also a lot of cost cutting models that also had the Professional tag on the headstock. Bolt on models were largely basswood and had flat sawn necks, although you got a chunky slab of rosewood topping it. Hardware and electronics were Gotoh, with Takeuchi Floyd's that are now most likely scrap if they haven't been replaced with a better quality Floyd. I'm pretty sure a Gotoh GE 1996T will fit in the Takeuchi route and is possibly the best Floyd out there, but still cheaper than a genuine German made Floyd Original. The Chushin Gakki built Pro models were something else, because not only were they specced like their American counterparts, they feel the same as their American counterparts. Generally a company will go to a factory, give them a shape, spec the hardware and, if they give half a shit the nut width and neck depth (not always the case) and leave it to the factory to knock out their own cost cutting version of the original. An Indonesian Ibanez Wizard II neck doesn't feel anything like a Japanese Wizard II profile, even though the width and depth measure the same. My '91 Soloist Pro's neck feels identical to my USA SL2H (and without the Fender plant QC issues to boot!), and my '86 Charvel Model 6 (same factory) neck shares the same slim flat ("Speed"?) profile of an early Soloist (pre mother of pearl logo) that I was once lucky enough to try. I read that when the Jackson/Charvel company (pre Fender purchase and just prior to the full sale of the brands to IMC) decided to have a cheaper Japanese production line, as the US guitars were essentially still a custom shop operation, they sent some of their senior team over to Japan to supervise the Japanese factory workers until they were satisfied that the guitars really were Japanese built Jackson's, albeit under the Charvel brand until 90's when the Professional, Concept and Performer series were launched. Prices are too high today, as people are asking the same price for a Performer as they were new, so getting a Professional model for 200 isn't bad at all. But yeah, guitars such as a Charvel Model 5/6/650XL/475 and Jackson Pro and XL are literally a cheaper way of owning a USA Jackson.
