I have a Jackson Rhoads JS32t that is now my “go-to” guitar. Everything’s stock. It stays in tune. Neck is nice. Pickups don’t hum like the one’s in this video. Sounds great - and it “records” well. Amazing for the price! I’ve had my monster axe since March 2023

Cool! That's great to hear 😀 Those "budget" Jacksons are amazing!

@@PedalJunkie Yeah, I ordered a Pro Series RRT-5 - opened it up, saw poor quality and terrible neck, not properly set-up. Didn’t even plug it into an amp - I just boxed it up and sent it back, because it didn’t compare to my $330 JS32t

Sounds like there's a grounding issue! The ground wire is probably not correctly soldered... this can be fixed! What is the outro song? 4:31 Sounds like some 80's metal? Riot? 🤔
@PedalJunkie10 ай бұрын
You're absolutely correct, I noticed that when I swapped them out. About the outro, I used one of my short videos for that. I played what was on my mind with no intention to copy a certain song, but it really came out like 80's metal tho 🧐

@@PedalJunkie Oh, had it got loose from the output jack or? Dang, that's a really cool lil' solo then! 🔥 It even sounds like it's lifted straight from an '84 LP! 😅

Nice axe, I have been looking on these guitars for a while now,to add a V to my collection,the only two questions for me are,the t(fixed bridge) version or the non t with the jacskon licensed floyd? And the pickups,I mean I like passive pickups, and those being high output will serve me well, but if they hum like that,it reminds me the issue the Hatley bentons active are facing with the guitar Paint.
@PedalJunkie2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. Well my personal experience with licensed Floyd's is, they usually suck unfortunately.. I got rid of the pickups and put active EMGs into the V The humming was a grounding issue, so chances are that it was just on my guitar and not on every single one.

I have the satin black version, and no issues whatsoever. It really sounds brutal for a poplar wood body and stock pickups.
@PedalJunkie6 ай бұрын
I heard that a couple of times now 🤔 I guess it was just mine that had that wiring issue. But now, with the EMGs it's gone and sounds brutal

is this fretboard able to be oiled......and with what oil....?
@PedalJunkie10 ай бұрын
It sure is. Since the neck is not maple, you can use any fretboard oil. I personally use the lemon oil from Dunlop

Keep riffin' away, my man! Where do they sell those? In Austria? Klangfarbe or something like that? No, I'm all fired up and ready to kick ass but I have no Jackson Flying V lying around here anywhere! Damn! Gotta go and buy one, right now!

I bought a Charvel Avenger (cheap "Jackson" Rhoads), that cost me over $500, over 30 years ago. That's roughly $1200, in todays dollars. Now, in todays dollars...you can get a way better quality Jackson for half that.

No, since there is no backplate or anything. However you can spend an extra 50 bucks and get the AH Ivory model. It's got a licensed floy rose (but I don't know how good or bad it is)

Rosewood finger boards repulse me. A murdered out fingerboard with shark fin inlays, and a murdered out headstock face to match is a must. Or even a full maple fingerboard and full maple headstock matching. full maple neck/headstockz.
