Great guitar. Sounds awesome. EMG’s sound good there. Nice colour too.

Don’t rag on the Floyd Rose Special as part of the assembly, when you buy inexpensive (not cheap), it all boils down to; you get what you pay for. If you swap out the Special, for the high end Titanium, it is no different from buying the high end USA Made Jackson. I have a Special that came with an LTD MH103QM that’s about 10 yrs old, and holds superbly, if and when I changed because of failure, it will be replaced by another $89 Floyd Rose Special, for it only cost $299 brand new from Guitar Center. Once you own them, you can do whatever you want, but once you have malfunctions from modifications, the manufacturer says “that’s not our responsibility”. It’s a fine instrument with a brand stamped on it, but at the end of the day, after you purchase, and make changes to something that left their plant, you’re stuck with it. So be very careful in making those types of decisions; it comes from overseas, and different terms and agreements are in place; due to your purchase( I strongly believe that’s how this marketing system works, when you buy outside The USA; I don’t care for it, I’m aware of it( The Screwery), and they “get away with it”. Put it like this, when you pay Made In The USA prices, your warranty and guaranties (without modifications) have protected( well it should be), because that’s what you pay for; if you get “a lemon”, and within a rightful timeframe your covered; if it comes from overseas, the laws differ internationally!! That’s “Game”!!

Did a trade for one of these with the Duncan designed humbuckers in metallica red.. Trying to decide what pups to swap for. Either a dimarzio evo bridge and air norton neck. Yeah nice jackson you got there sounds pretty good too.

They make a model without the maple top that has the Jackson pickups, that is probably what you found. They are very similar, just don't have the emgs.

man just picked up one of these for 275 off Craigslist plays just as good as my Jackson dk2 pro.

I've been playing my Les Pauls a lot recently and realized I hadn't picked this up in a few months... since it was cold and it sits close to a window. I picked it up last night actually, the action was still perfect and it was in tune... the craftsmanship on the these is really amazing!

Last night I saw Dokken, they rocked BTW, so when I got home I felt like playing a little 80s metal. I've been playing my LPs most of the time but I grabbed my Soloist and just started jamming. After sitting for at least a month it was still in tune and even after a number of dive bombs it was in perfect tune I haven't had any issues with it. I think the solid steel sustains a little better but the brass block I added to make helped a great deal with that. I'm pretty darn happy with it!

I think novice players don't bother to set up a floating bridge so it lies even against the body and when you buy a cheap guitar, the factory set up is usually not so great. I used to have a JS30DK Jackson, as barebone as they get, and my trem stayed in tune virtually all the time until my strings wore down

@MarbsMusic7 жыл бұрын
Dharyn, I'm using a Blackstar HT40 straight in, no pedals. I have the extra cab with it but it has the same speaker. Plan to swap on of the eventually.

I played a soloist with Duncan at a music shop, believe it was a pro series. Plugged direct into a blackstar ht 40 by coincidence, I absolutely loved the combo.

Bitcho Loko online a year ago as new old stock. They don't make this model anymore. None or EBay or Reverb either right now.

I found one for $480 on amazon, should I get it?
@MarbsMusic8 жыл бұрын
Musical Maniac I think that is a good price but check Pro Audio Star as well, might be a little cheaper. If they are out that is still a great price for these. I played some guitars this morning, another brand and style, that are well over 1k and they weren't nearly as nice as these. The longer I have this more I'm impressed with it!

Did you get it, are you satisfied, i am also considering one. Also, are you satisfied with the floyd on it?
