Jack, others probably told you, but a monetized channel does not loose monetization if it drops below 4k hours of watch time for the past 365 days. A KZbin employee told me in a chat. A monetized channel will however loose monetization if it doesn't upload for 6 months. So I guess what happened to Fufik is that it got demonetized for re-used content. From then on you can re-apply for the YPP. But if you do, you then again need to meet the watch time threshold of 4k hours for the last 365 days. And as it appears Fufik has fallen under that threshold now. If you upload a few new original videos and exceed 4k hours of watch time again, they might let Fufik in again, for what it's worth...

I remember looking into buying websites back in 07-10. It's the same deal. You gotta ask yourself, why are they selling it? Very rarely it's because they are so busy, and have so many successful properties on the go - so they sell the most underperforming asset.

This is different though; there's people that build up a channel to 100k subs using random stolen content then sell it to someone who changes the name, deletes all the videos and starts uploading their own content. It's not about keeping old viewers, it's about seeming more popular to new viewers.

@@bigboi3103 Thank you! Consistency is really important for any growth. In fact, my bags were stolen not too long ago and I'm basically back to zero. This is just another challenge that I have to overcome. Setbacks are just part of life and so learning and growth. This is what my channel is all about. About being strong whatever life throws at me although it’s not always easy to stay strong especially during storms but at least try to take even little steps even when it gets tougher. Keeping in mind I'm not immune to challenges in life like everybody makes me focus on solutions. It sucks and I was feeling down for a few days after it happened but I chose to bounce back and start all over again after losing months' worth of work as my hard drives were in my stolen bags. 80% of my camera gears are gone but I recently bought new ones to keep going. Obviously, it will slow down the completion of my next video but as long as I am moving forward, that's all that really counts.

Try this experiment: I'm selling this channel that has big videos scheduled 2 per week for 2 years and 5 shorts per week for the next 3 months. Another 50 big edited clips but not uploaded on youtube and about 600 edited shorts not uploaded. Also another 2 terabytes of unedited material. On youtube if you don't upload anything for a long time the views drop, so this way you have material to keep your channel on for another 5 years...

Nah this is def still worth it, maybe not for you or any immediate money making. But being able to get your videos pushed easier and already having your first 100k even if they arnt active is a huge fucking step. You can bring a channel back from the dead and even remarket it as something else if you need, but it’s significantly harder to grow a channel from scratch

There’s some reasons to buy it the same way people buy expired domain names. Web page age is significant in search and that applies to your channel page. You’d just have to repurpose the channel and get through the “sandboxing period” If none of this makes sense to you you should NOT buy other people’s channels.

About the Xonnek guy and the reason he has a strike: He was a roblox star creator ( youtuber ) back in 2015 - 2020 and in 2020 it was found out he used hacks and exploits on fans accounts in popular games and cheated his way to victory. He also plagarised lots of games and passed them of as original. Roblox shortly permanently banned him afterwards but youtube didnt know about the current situation. Xonnek kept on posting disturbing content and stealing youtube shorts and tiktoks before getting a strike on his channel. I figure he tried to sell both his roblox and youtube account and probably made a new one to hide his past but i see no other reason a terrible creators account would get put on this website for over 8k.

Yep, why would anyone sell a succesful youtube channel that has good monthly earnings? In real life it might happen with brick and mortar stores since the owner might be moving out or town or just retiring, but a youtube channel is completely different, you can still keep it up from anywhere in the world and if it's giving you passive income why would you "retire" and sell it.

Buying channels is pointless. They are often artificially inflated. It's better to invest in your own development and possibly some specialist help, like famegrowers. It's hard to break through, but with a good plan, everything is possible.
