DBD Veteran Plays Identity V: Closing Night [ 2 ]

This wasn't stated in the story but one of the maps called lake side village is Margeretha's hometown before meeting Sergi, it's stated in text that the village has long been destroyed so even after the Hullabloo massacre Margie couldn't go back to her family so her drowning in the lake (that is meant to lead her back to the village) makes a lot of sense with her backstory. The hunter "Hullabloo" is basically Mike Morton, which makes sense in context that he decided to end himself to atone what happened at Hullabloo and ending Hullabloo with him as he was meant to be the successor for the place, his hunter form having a weird attack that wouldn't cause damage until six hits is also a throwback to his distaste for violence. He was also very young when he was at the circus and if you do the deductions to his character you can read about how he's the 'golden child' but there's also a lot of manipulation going on with Bernard who is the man that owns the circus. One of the reasons why he's so snappy with Violetta at the beginning and hostile towards Magie was that Mike was the one who was made to identify all the corpses so he had to look at their mutilated bodies to identify them. Also Violetta's prosthetics were made by another playable survivor called Mechanic (Tracy Reznik)

31:27 no no no she was in abusive relationship with sergi and the only way SHE could escape was by ending her life meanwhile on jokers letter its showed as "suicide" bc margie see it as an exit from her past while joker sees it as death with no after and the sound that kept calling her was her aunt bc that lake was connected to her childhood house

@@philorrx Oh I always assumed that she left lakeside because of the cult. The cult ended up killing her aunt and uncle so she prolly would've died too if she stayed. Poor Margie was always destined to die.

Closing Night was definitely a very fun story to play through and Netease has announced the next story involving game 0 involving Helena (Mind’s eye), Galatea (Sculptor), Orpheus (Novelist), Ada (Psychologist), Emil (Patient), and a yet to be released character. Definitely going to be excited for this next story ^-^

If you'll let me ramble a bit in your comments bc this story is genuinely so interesting to me! Sergei was Absolutely abusive to the rest of the members. Mike was spared solely because he was the ringleader's favorite and got special treatment. It's interesting though because Sergei was one of the newer additions to the circus. The timeline basically goes Mike, Murro and Joker were raised there. Mike replaced Murro as the leading man and quickly became the star of the circus. At the same time, Violetta was performing in a different freakshow due to being born without any limbs. The Mechanic (Tracy Reznik) helped design and create her spider prosthetics to better bring people in. And Natasha (Margie) was being raised in Lakeside Village by her aunt and uncle. Her first deduction talks about how she's wearing a cheap cotton dress but it doesnt take away from her beauty so we can kind of guess her aunt and uncle weren't particularly well off. A Circus travelles to Lakeside and that's when she meets Sergei. The circus seems to have everything she wants and Sergei manages to charm her. So, she drugs her aunt and uncle so she can run away with Sergei and the Circus he was with at the time. She changes her name to Natalie and dyes her hair blonde (like you saw briefly when she was with Joker in her room) They join the Hullaballo at one point and a lot of source hint that she picked up an animal tamer act (she has an Animal Tamer skin, the lions on the map will react positively to her). But Sergei began abusing everyone else at the Hullaballoo. Most notably, Joker. At some point between when Sergei joined and the end of the Hullaballo, Mike recognized Murro's mistreatment and helped him escape. Sergei overtook Weeping's clone act. He was the brave smiling clown compared to Weeping's sad one. Despite that though, once Sergei started abusing Margie she goes to Joker for protection. It's mostly an act to try and gain Any sort of comfort but he misinterprets it as her genuinely having feelings for him. Weeping goes to confront Sergei and despite Sergei breaking his prosthetic leg, it isnt revenge enough. See, Mike makes and gathers ingredients for all of his bombs himself. Ingredientss such as Nitric Acid which Sergei steals and mixes with the facepaint that Weeping uses. It horribly burns his face but ultimately, some lie or misunderstanding about the situations happens and nothing is done. That is until the massacre. Moonlit River Park had a night where they said "screw the curfew" and, despite locking the gates like usual, would stay open all night. Thats when everything reached a tipping point and Weeping went on a killing spree. He DID kill sergei and, iirc, its implied that he literally stole his face and thats why they police werent able to identify the body and assumed he'd survived. Mike, who had been mostly blind to all the mistreatment happening, immediately began obsessively looking for the culprit. His biggest suspect was Margie until he came to the manor for answers. He went as far as to hire private investigators and everything to track down and investigate everyone who was there that night. Id suggest looking at the id5wiki lore sections for all of them and reading their deductions and letters as it really delved into each chara and gives more insight but! I also like rambling abt this game to anyone who'll listen lol

When you’re new to the game it’s a bit hard to find the source for details about characters

Closing Night was amazing from the characters, animation, music, voice acting & storyline. After this I got the skin for Soul Weaver & tracks for the phonograph. Smiley Face with a chainsaw is a reference to the beta version from what I heard. Can’t wait to see what story Identity V will tell next. Hopefully next they’ll tap into more.

I really do like massive rocket firework! It has a more cutesy, goosebumps kind of vibe! I low-key wish they kept the chainsaw though. Sure, it would be a bit too similar to the Hillbilly from DBD, but the thought of being chased by a clown with a chainsaw is so mindlessly terrifying that it makes me want to pass out 🤣

Little context of all the characters Natasha / female dancer - she was born at lakeside village, from a poo/not wealthy family, but she wanted more, she’s greedy and loves expensive stuffs, so one day she met Sergei and changed her name to be able to run away with him and marry him. They arrived at hullabaloo and Sergei was an abusive dick. It’s really sad because at Natasha’s death you can see she regrets leaving her family for Sergei, that was her one mistake. Joker - he was sold by his parents to the hullabaloo, he always had low self esteem and hated the hullabaloo, the day Natalie arrived, he fell in love with her and helped her with Sergei’s abused but out of jealousy Sergei burned his face with Mike’s acid. Out of shame and hate, Joker burned and killed everyone in the circus. Murro - he is the son of the creator of the Hullabaloo, but his father died and gave the circus to his brother Bernard, who decided to turn Murro into an “wild man act” instead of giving him the spot he deserved, he would basically lock him in the dark with boars, one day he decided to escape with Mike’s help and never came back. Mike - he was adopted/found by Bernard, who actually treated him well and made him the star of the circus, because he was young and he could mold him, so basically he “”groomed”” him into thinking the Hullabaloo was such a good place and that if he saw violence or something wrong, it wasn’t that at all, he genuinely believed that everyone was happy. The day he lost his acid (the one Sergei stole) he went away to buy it and when he came back the circus was burned. Violeta - she was bought by Bernard to be the “freak” and she actually enjoyed being there, she loved acting and the attention instead of people having pity of her, but one day she failed an act and Bernard kick her out

I love that you care about IDV’s lore! It was already awesome to see you play the game. I know you mush be familiar with the circus’s story, but Identity V | Weeping Clown Background Story recaps it perfectly in a minute. They also have most Survivors and Hunters stories on their official channel. If you are interested in a specific character's lore, I suggest you look up their background story, or go through Identity V’s channel Survivors or Hunters playlist :)

In my opinion idv has really interesting characters and the backstories are great you can relate to many of them. however it is hard to actually learn the lore. I have been playing for almost 5 years and before the only lore for characters was letters for their birthdays/character days (which are often written in such confusing way...) deductions and skin descriptions. Im happy that they started working in lore events. Still i think they should be longer. Can wait for you to learn about more characters :) some of my favourites are Edgar Valden (Painter), Xie Bi'an & Fan Wujiu (Wu Chang), Vera Nair (Perfumer) and Matthias Czernin (Puppeteer)

I have a theory that dancer was the only one that has a chase scene bc she's the only one consuming drugs aka the perfume, ergo hallucinating joker as the hunter joker, and mike and murro simply running away bc it's a wild joker wielding a whole ass chainsaw, also fun fact before the game got even more censored, hunter jokers old weapon WAS a chainsaw

The perfume she uses im pretty sure its Vera’s perfume(Aka perfumer in the game as she’s called) Vera has perfume that make her forget about her sister and what others have said thats the same perfumer that Natalie uses to forget about Sergi. I can’t remember if its confirmed or not that Vera was in game 5 and hullabaloo story takes place as game 8 meaning if she was in game 5 that means vera left her perfumes in the mansion and maybe that why they were there in the first place. Idk if that is true , but cool theory from what I’ve heard from others and it would make sense cause well Vera’s perfume def has some drug effect is clear as day when you play her she uses it to gain health back if she get hit with the perfume on!

ahhh i cried again.. but even more TT omg i cant my poor violetta aughhh i feel bad for everyone man, all of them died (i think) except for murro.. i cant imagine what its like having your companions die one after another, people you've worked with and made a lot of memories with, suddenly dying.. ;; i was really amazed by joker's va, not just him but i liked everyone's performance here, but joker really made me feel such strong emotions and i could deeply empathize with him.. i was seriously shocked to find out who his va was!! i was also utterly confused during the entire story and im a veteran xd i was like "where am i, who am i...
