My husband and I are also expecting our first baby, and we were the same boat, where I wanted to wait, and he wanted to know right away. I realized that while expecting moms connect with the baby so much while being pregnant, dads don’t have that as much, and so finding out the gender and being able to call the baby by the name we are choosing during pregnancy was a way that my husband could connect better with the baby before they’re born.

I've been watching you since before you guys got engaged - my husband and I got engaged and married like a year behind you guys and just gave birth to our first baby a month ago, so this is really cool! I also was super super sick, so I can empathize with you completely - pregnancy was one of the hardest seasons for me, but God is so faithful and it's amazing how it feels to have that sweet baby in your arms. Yaay so excited about this new adventure for you guys! Just wanted to say that as a Christian it breaks my heart to see other Christians think that God tempts them when He says in His Word that He doesn't tempt you. It says in James 1:13: "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man" He is a more loving Father than we could ever imagine and nothing else. God does not make bad things happen to us to test us or teach us things - that is the enemy! He has no darkness in Him. I love that you talk about your faith so openly. Hopefully that is a comfort to your heart!

If you have been following Jaclyn as long as I have, she was in high school, she is not going to tell you anything. We won’t know the due date, gender, and name until the baby is born. She’s good at making people wait. It’s cool though because it’s her life and channel. 🤎

I’ve heard of others where 1 partner finds out the gender & the other doesn’t since each wanted something different (to know gender or not)! I feel that’s definitely fair!! That way everyone gets what they personally want! Very thoughtful I feel!

Also I gave birth to my little girl Nazareth at Fort Sanders, UT turned me away when I was in active labor. So just a heads up if you plan to go there😭.
