I was Demi's biggest fan as a pre-teen/teen. Her talent is undeniable and she's always seemed genuine to me. She's been open about her mental health struggles when depression and other illnesses/disorders weren't talked about much and while she's had her ups and downs since, I never stopped admiring her for that. Glad to see her doing better now. I'll definitely watch her new documentary as the topic of child stars is so interesting to me.

Demi saved my life back in the day. I am a couple years younger than her so I looked up to her so much in her Disney days. I grew up with junkie parents, I was bullied and beaten daily at school, and I was very depressed and suicidal because of it. When Demi came out with her album Unbroken and talked about all these issues it made me feel heard and like I wasn’t alone. I got help and slowly began to heal because of her openness and honesty.
