some notes are off but it makes sense since the keyboard is tuned to 12 tone temperament and pinch harmonics on bass guitar are whole-number fractions of a fundamental. it makes me appreciate more how the instrument itself influences the pitches of a piece of music.

Hello, I'm making a hip-hop/rap beat using Jaco's Portrait of Tracey and want a section that transitions to keys, I'm not making any money of it or anything but might post it to soundcloud, I'm pretty sure it would be fair use but also just want to ask if you're okay with that. If I do post the finished beat publically to soundcloud or my youtube channel I would be sure to credit you for the keys and include a link to this video. You got the sound perfect for electric keys which is why I want to sample your version, I might also sample a really cool acoustic piano cover I found on another channel for more colours. lmk Edit: I did make a beat, it's uploading to my channel, it's a bit janky as I had trouble making different tempo performances that some aren't played to a click and sometimes played rubato fit in the same tempo but I still like it. If I wasn't so busy with programming classes I'd polish it more. I only used about 10 seconds of your cover, the main head kinda section. It's a pretty rough beat mix and production wise but I'm proud of it This is a great performance
