Utterly brilliant artistic interaction between these two. But…the live piano performance isn’t necessarily what you hear in the finished recording. That last scream... I don't even have the words, along with the quick flashes to just a miniscule amount of the pain and damage we have caused to our oceans. It is raw emotion, and I resonate with that so deeply. No matter how many times I listen to this (I've essentially been listening to it non-stop today) I tear up because I want to let out that same sort of scream to convey the depth of the rage, pain, frustration, and sadness I feel because of what we have done, and continue to do to our environment. I love our planet and all the species who reside on it, no matter how miniscule or mighty, no matter how graceful and elegant, or powerful and fierce. This is our home, and we should treat it and those who reside on it alongside us with the same respect which we demand/expect from our fellow human beings.
@papillonpromise

Wow, how easy it is to manipulate the young. Pied piper anyone? The environment is important to us all, yes. Environmentalism is not, and is nothing but politics. Also, Mother Earth my arse. That’s almost as intellectually flawed as vegan philosophy. The earth is resilient, and self-perpetuating. It operates outside of time. We cannot destroy it. What ego and lack of understanding is necessary to believe we control the destiny of a planet?
@ruinsane100
@ruinsane100 Ай бұрын
When I see others who love the planet and all beings as passionately as you do, I instantly wish we could be friends. I always feel so alone in these feelings and wish I could connect with others who share my pain and grief - because, yes, when you love the Earth with such intensity you are in a constant state of grieving. Most do no understand. The love for the Earth can be as painful as it is beautiful.

You imagine dream collaborations all the time, but you never think they’ll actually happen - their creative circles just don’t end up meeting or overlapping at any point, you know? If I was able to wish into existence one of those collabs before I kicked the bucket - this is who it would be. I don’t keep a formal list, but they would both be tied 1st on it for my favourite artists of all time. I’m finally seeing AURORA live for the first time in 6 days, in Edinburgh, and saving monthly to try and get myself to Manchester to see Jacob for the 2nd time in December. The excitement and joy for both of those shows - mixed with seeing that this is happening is legitimately hard to describe - I feel lighter than air 🎉

For five years, when I first discovered Aurora and Jaboc almost simultaneously, I've been imagining this collab in my head, thinking how unlikely it is to happen. I love both of these artists. For their music. For their personality. For how they go about making music. And WHY they make music. Today, I wake up. Open my laptop. Go to KZbin. And the first thing on the front page in the upper left corner is THIS. And I'm AGITATED. I start shouting, throwing one curse after another. Then, a few seconds into the video, I start crying. Just the setting and the sounds of the ice are so perfect. And I weep and weep, more and more. I can't remember when I ever cried this hard. This performance surpasses everything I ever imagined it to be. I'm still in tears writing this. I feel endless gratitude. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!!

Our digestive systems have been developed for thousands of years to eat meat, and nature has never had global warming because of that, until we industrialise it in a problematic way. I believe we will find a solution one day, but before that, I do try to eat meats produced with less carbon emissions, like fish or chicken. That's my stance.

@ I caught you lol. Here you are judging the kardashians and Diddy and then preaching about “consciousness “ lol while also big upping music made my Jacob that is derived from A holiday that celebrates a religion that is grossly conflicted and responsible for some Of the world’s greatest suffering . That is not conscious it’s just conflicted , just like allllll of the people you’re dragging lol which is why I said this “mindset “ that you have is just based in lies . We are all human . I love Kim and Kim is human . Life on earth is not perfect and no one is more or less “enlightened “ , nothing works that way , and anyone who claims to be this will eventually anyhow reveal themselves to be the opposite . The GALL tho for people to try to claim one lane and then to attack those who they think are the opposite , that’s why life on Earth is what it is lol . I don’t think that changes and let’s be glad because according to who and for what lol . The end . 🙌
