As a child who was born and grew up in BARIGA/ SHOMOLU AREAS, my friends and I used to sneak out of the compound to watch JACOB OLUWOLE and his group rehearsing. We used to compare his style to Ebenezer Obey. Sometimes, this silly argument led to fights amongst us… These were the good old days. May he continue to rest in peace. Love from Texas.

Many thanks for this interview. I had been interested in knowing more about this talented but Less celebrated Juju musician. My favourite song of his, is GARI OLOOYO . I think he sang it for Olabisi Ajala. May his soul rest in peace.

old school memory lane. RIP to Jacob Oluwole. It is a long memory for interviewee to remember all the past scenes. Please interviewer don't stress the old man of too crazy questions. I used to live in Oshodi in that period of time and I knew JO and his band very well. JO was a top musicians in Oshodi and he risen up to become a STAR. I knew him with his 'Danfo' bus.

Thank you very much for a wonderful job / revelations about Jacob Oluwole's musical contributions. Am particularly interested in knowing more about Jacob Oluwole and you have just done that. 👍👍 Additionally, you will do more Justice to this legendary musician if you can locate and upload of his records online for posterity to remember this wonderful musician. Am interested in "Asha to gbe eyele, ogbe ti alaroka" and "Odale suzzie, Category 10" and others. The man combined wonderful lyrics loaded with educative message like Ebenezer Obey and serious Guitar 🎸 works like Sunny Ade. If not for his untimely death, he would have given these top musicians of the period much sleepless nights musically. Finally, thanks to Agbaletu TV for the good work of documenting Yoruba musical history for tomorrow.

publicising oluwole's death couldn't have been possible of the nature of his death. his death wasn't the type celebrated in yoruba land moreso that he died on stage while performing
