Try not to mention about your family, for the companies it might be a red-flag because of additional costs for your relocation & visa. Try to go there yourself, work alone for some time, and then solve this thing with Visa’s for your family. Furthermore, I suggest you considering not only US job market, but also EU’s as Europe really needs SE. All tho, they’re not paying as much as US companies do, but considering living expenses, they’re still paying a good salary!

I am currently self teaching myself and sometimes I find myself not motivated or wanting to focus just day dream but I tell myself I want to get into tech to change my life and get an actual career and make enough to support me and my son.
