In addition to Jacob's "WTF? Where did that come from?!" intro, what amazes me is how Jacob took a rather brooding and meandering melody and made it into something gorgeous that made melodic and harmonic sense. It was like a creative move in a friendly game of musical chess. Herbie says, "Check." Jacob smiles and replies, "Check. Mate." ;^D

@jordvn.exe_
@jordvn.exe_ 6 жыл бұрын
Limiting music to a specific tuning standard and temperament limits the colors and possibilities. It does not bug me if something is "out of tune". If a piano or guitar are 15 cents flat, as long as the notes across the instrument are in tune with each other I could care less about whether it is tuned to A-440 or A-432 and so on.

Absolutely Brilliant Jacob. Wonderful use of the harmonic, rhythmic musical language and imagination, tastefully filling in gaps where required. I really love videos like these which inspire musical creativity showing what's possible with higher level harmonic knowledge and skill. I also love what this kind of thing is inspiring everyday people as well as other musicians to do (I heard quite a few excellent ideas from people on this video). I also love what you did with Herbie's wonderful test melody at the end (I could just imagine him rubbing his hands in anticipation and glee). I'll be definitely putting this video on my playlist and will be taking notes. Again excellent upload. God bless

There are so many beautiful things coming across in this project, not just music but far beyond as well, which is the same thing I feel when I listen to Jacob's music or hear him talk about anything. This is a humanitarian mission transmitted through musical collaboration. Thank you Jacob for putting so much love into the world.

WHAAAT THIS IS SO COOL!! I laughed out loud at his harmonized responses to Boden, fully did not expect (and was very impressed with) his Chinese harmonization with S.T., and was amazed at how he matched each of the backgrounds of Hanks, Kiki, & Gaku (looool at his panting/running at the end). Spent over half an hour watching this because I kept replaying the clips - time well spent!
