Childhood food is a difficult thing to revisit - most of them change their ingredients and ratios over time, and they end up tasting different than they did when we were kids. Like I tried Capri Sun and Koolaid Bursts recently after a very long time, and they tasted like diet drinks, they were literally inedible for me and i had to give the rest away. It's because of the companies being harassed by parents to make kids' stuff healthier.

Hi-C STORY TIME!: My 18 month old had a rare pneumonia that was rapidly killing off his left lung, and him. He had to take IV and oral antibiotics in adult doses and the liquid version smelled literally like gasoline and beef. The ONLY way to make it palatable for him to have it syringed down his throat was adding Hi-C concentrate. It was THIIICCCCKKKK and stained everything it touched. There were what looked like blood droplets on my ceiling from the months of syringe mishaps. But that sh*t saved his life. I mean, the antibiotics saved his life, but for this storytime it's Hi-C.

My least favorite was always Juicy Juice as a kid because it was healthier😂. I loved Caprisun more back in the days. It tasted way better. It was definitely the sugar they used back then. They also had Big Pouches briefly. Heavenly. 😂 Hi-c is my number one but only from McDonald's because theirs tastes like the original. The boxed one tastes awful these days. I stopped buying it years ago.

lol i've retried most of these as as an adult , without kids ,of lucas's age. i get capri sun when it's on sale, because iconic. i tried the hugs again and they really are nasty. the sunny d tastes like crap to me now. kool aid bursts= perfection, idc what you say. juicy juice slaps,hi-c is way better at mcdonald's. yoohoos scare me but that nesquik hits. both of the blue drinks are good but not my faves.
