when i was little i used to always go to big lots with my parents and i have this very vivid memory of walking in at night while it was raining, and the first shelf had a bunch of those dancing singing robot things, and they were Easter bunnies, and they sang Rihanna’s “umbrella” and so i set like 8 of them off then held one the whole time i was in the store. and that’s just one of my strange memories from biglots

@jenna5960 there really wasn’t any tbh, it was a McDonald’s near a small shopping center, and there was an area where a lot of homeless people stayed behind the McDonald’s, and i guess someone got into the kitchen or something and died back there and the next day the manager or whoever came if before opening found him and they had to shut down the place because of it. it was sad because the guy was very much dead, but also like an all around what the fuck type moment. like how does someone just “get into” a restaurant like that?? like without someone noticing or alarms anywhere?? it was on the local news and in the local paper, but i don’t think it went any further than that lmfao. it was absurd to say the least

I used to work in one. My favorite thing to do was lower the price of snacks and then buy them as a clearance item or lower the price of already cheap things. It was an ok job. I did love the array of different items they have. The snack and drink section was my favorite because they have candy and snacks I haven't seen since childhood. They used to have all the cool cereals other stores stopped selling or never sell.

Funny you guys did this video, because when I was 13 or 14 I had the idea in my head that Big Lots was some kind of amazing toy store, like a more mature ToysRus lmao. I convinced my best friend of this and we ended up walking like 5 miles through a city in Arizona to get to this store hahaha lmao. Clearly when we got there we were shocked to find that this place was like a worn-down Walmart where people buy cat liter hahaha. Since we could obviously see that it wasn't a toy store, we ended up never even going inside. Defeated and heartbroken that we didn't find the cool store we were excited for, we ended up calling my friend's dad to pick us up from our failed mission...He was shocked that we actually walked so far XD haha still a great memory though. Will truly never forget it.

My christmas tree this year came from Big Lot. It's pink and prelit! My grandparents often took me there as a child and let my spoiled ass pick out whatever I wanted. I think it was my grandpa's favorite place. I've also gone food shopping there in low budget weeks. They sometimes get in European imported snacks, like those cookies with the smiley faces.

I hated working at Big Lots but with mine they always had items you loved but couldn’t really get anywhere else (for cheaper prices too). Or just basic cheap stuff that wasn’t actually bad quality. Idk most people go for the Christmas decorations/furniture it’s ridiculous what people spend on decor though (esp. the sun shelters)! And the coupons and how people use them are crap. I work at Target now and even tho retail is soul-sucking I work in Style and help process style truck. My Target is the “it” Target where I live. And I loveeee the red card (live by that ish) it’s worth it even if you don’t work at Target.
