Ahhh, fond memories. In our house we played around with most of the ones you guys presented too, but the one that stood out the most for me was childhood snack #8. My big brother did a take on this, that he called a "hungry man sandwhich". My brother and sister were 16 and 17 years old when I was born, so there was quite an age gap. But on Saturday mornings when my parents would go to yard sales, I would stay home with my super cool big brother and we'd watch Saturday morning WCW wrestling on tv. It was with him I learned to cook a lot of things, because I felt it was the highest honor to be able to hang out with him, and I would pretty much do anything he asked me to - he was just cool like that. The first food I learned to cook, was blue box mac and cheese (aka kraft) - at about 8 years old - because that's what he wanted for breakfast one Saturday morning, so that's what I did. lol. My dad taught me how to cook cheese toast in the oven, that was the 2nd thing I learned how to cook. And by about 11 or 12, I was cooking hambuger helper for dinners to help mom out. ANY-who...back to my initial point haha. My brother's take on snack #8 - the "hungry man sandwich" - you put one slice of white bread on a microwave safe plate - pop a slice of thick cut bologna on top of it (remove the red border situation - had a weird childhood friend who used to eat that thing - gross!) -pop this in the microwave, and set it for 20 seconds. DON'T PRESS START YET -take your other slice of white bread, and slather it with a good layer of CHUNKY peanut butter (you could try non-chunky, but it just doesn't 'hit right' as the kids say lol) -once the other slice is ready with the chunky peanut butter, NOW HIT START ON MICROWAVE for your plate that's waiting inside -soon as it dings finished, pull that plate out of the microwave - WATCH OUT, IT MIGHT BE HOT - and sit it on the counter -slap right on top of the warmed bologna bread, the chunky peanut butter slice -when you do so, the heat is going to make the peanut butter get oozy and warm and it will melt some out between the sandwich on to the plate -finish by.....*DRUMROLL* - pouring some sweet bbq sauce over the top of the sandwich Grab yourself a fork, and knife, cut up a bite and give it a try and enjoy!!!! ...this isn't for everyone, I'm well aware. But it works in our house haha. My brother was super cool. His nick name was Chilidog - and everyone, everywhere seemed to know his name. Kind of like Norm from the 80s tv show "Cheers" ...where he was super cool on one hand, he was a trickster on the other - that childhood friend that used to eat the red ring situation off the bologna......he talked her into taking a drink of castor oil one weekend when she visited........that was an explosive kind of fun!! haha He passed away August 27th 2004....I wish I had spent more time with him....our age difference at that time, he was 39 and I was 22....just had us in different worlds....I don't regret much, but I regret not spending time with him when the time was there.....one of the reasons I really enjoy videos when Jacob and Lucas are both in them together....their bond is really nice, and I enjoy coming to this part of the internet-verse, and having a nice, easy, cool time. Thanks for being awesome guys! Have a great weekend!!!

@RebaMcImTired thank you for the internet kindness. Need more of this for all! 😊 hope you have a great new week my friend. My fav childhood snack is definitely bread cheese and tomatoes 😍 you toast the bread with cheddar cheese in an oven (broiler setting), and then you slice up tomato and onion (I do mostly tomato), throw it in a bowl and mix it together with salt and pepper and then put it on top of the toast. I know it seems different and like a lot of work but that's one of the things we absolutely love in the Caribbean 😍

@13:50 Snack #6 It is absolutely better to make your own chocolate, strawberry, or whatever flavored milk you want to make with syrup. The store bought is going to always stop adding the flavor at a certain point at whatever the company thinks should be the most palatable for the average person. When you make it yourself you can add as much flavor as you want. I also remember mixing strawberry and chocolate syrups was pretty solid, but I haven't tried that since I was really young. I'm pretty sure I never mixed both as an adult, and now I'm wondering whether it holds up. LOL

grew up in the midwest too and a lot of these were staples lol. for the butter and bread though, i would melt the butter stick in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it, then spread it on half the slice of the white bread (white bread hit diff) and then i’d fold it and bam that’s it. i liked the butter to be solid and not melted but also not too hard
