Hey guys, I am an avid sake drinker and have worked in Asian restaurants for years... Sake is a fermented rice wine. It can be served either hot or cold. (A carbonated version should be served cold.) It's typically presented as a bottle with small sake cups or shot glasses. IT'S NOT A SHOT. (You can take it as a shot, it's meant to savor more slowly.) Typically a bottle of sake has an alcohol content of around 14%. In my opinion it's best enjoyed slowly with a cold beer. My favorite pairing is an unfiltered sho chiko Bai with Kirin light.

Some people still make their own moonshine. The everclear can make you go blind, but that's if you immediately try to drink it after it comes out of the distiller. The ones at the store won't make you blind. The moonshine sold at stores are typically much weaker in comparison to the alcohol levels of "homemade moonshine". They do it for safety reasons.

I work for Sugarlands Distilling Co (The Moonshine you guys found) it's real moonshine, but it's regulated and absolutely safe to drink. The RootBeer is amazing, and so is the lemonade. 😊

different types of sake have different alcohol contents. Some have a lot higher, but some, especially those with flavors, have a lower alcohol content, but it has a very different taste because it's made from rice instead of fruit.

People brew their own beer and wine all the time and it's safe if you use clean supplies and area. Moonshine(a liquor) has to be distilled and you need a license to do that because home stills can produce poison, explode and cause fires. There is also a legal limit on alcohol proof sold, depending on the state.

Literally my favorite wine in the world is only $30. Opolo Mountain Zinfandel. Once you’re spending hundreds or thousands on bottles it’s typically because you’ve had the wine before, loved it, and are willing to pay for something that isn’t being made anymore.
