The name “Why Don’t We” came from the boys when they were formulating the idea of the band. They were saying things like, “Why don’t we make a band?” “Why don’t we call it ___?” And they realized how much they were saying “Why don’t we..?” That they thought it would be cool to name it that.
@waterfvls4 жыл бұрын
Yeah they always figure out how to do the harmonies, they said before that all there harmonies and vocals just go in place when they sing. If you want to hear more of there harmonies from them you should listen to there recent mashups, those are amazing! Also there came from when they all came together in LA for the first time, they all were solo artists before and met up together in different ways. They eventually came to LA and decided that they all have amazing vocals and being solo artists before, and then they thought “why don’t we become a band” and that’s when they became a band.
@mandyvangrondelle94094 жыл бұрын
They were all solo artist, trying to get somewhere with their own nusic. Some of the guys followed eachother. One day they met and they sang together and then they send, why don't we try it together. Then they formed Why don't we.

they’ve done a couple of interviews where they talk about how now they’ve been together so long that they can hear parts for each of their voices. i don’t think anyone arranges their harmonies because they used to do these mashups in 2017/2018 that were just fun videos of them mashing up their favorite songs (you should check those out!). as many have said already they started as solo artists and new each other from social media tours/gigs. they got together and said “Why Don’t We” make a band. they formed mid-2016 but their new album (including Fallin’) is finally going to be solely written and produced by them.
@vidarodriguez60894 жыл бұрын
They officially formed September 26, 2016

So they were all originally solo singers they met through concerts they did or other music events so they basically became friends and then they decided to meet up in L.A. and then they were like “why don’t we make a band?” And they’re always saying u know it was a really spontaneous thing. Also that song Trust Fund Baby is actually written by Ed Sheeran that’s probably why u hear the really strong influence of Ed Sheeran. And last but not least when it comes deciding who sing what they had gotten that question a lot and they say that since they have been in a band for 4 years now the know their voice so well that it’s kind of automatic and if they can’t decide they will all sing that part separately and then which one sounds better will be the one. Hope this help with your questions 😊
@fitnesswithjulie4584 жыл бұрын
something to know about this band is they were all friends before. they decided to make a band themselves without being formed by someone. that gives them some sort of advantage because they already knew eachother therefore understand eachother and can do harmonies very well !
@leilacollins45944 жыл бұрын
4:40 they’ve said how they know each other’s voices so well, that they can hear something and just immediately know who would sound best singing it!
@milihidalgo95084 жыл бұрын
Also, they’ve said in a couple interviews that they don’t have to decide who sings which part because they’ve been friends for a really long time and they Just know each others voices so well that they just know who would sound good in each part.
@destinychristiansen44714 жыл бұрын
They have said that when they decide who is going to sing what line it just comes naturally. So with their new album when they wrote it they would see a part and say that is zach’s part or that is Daniels part. Sometimes they try a part out and it doesn’t really fit their voice so they switch the parts around until it sounds good.
@Lisa-ys7xt4 жыл бұрын
They said in some interviews that they've been together for so long that choosing parts just became easy. They just hear a part of the song and already know who's going to sing it.

They arrange their own harmonies and decide who fits whatever part better. They know each other’s voices very well which is why they usually know who to choose for what part. And if they’re not sure, they’re going to have two of the people who can both fit the part, but will choose which fits better for the song. And they’re not like “no, I wanted that part, let me have it” they’re more like “yes, you better sing that part, it fits you” and if they don’t feel content with their part, they’ll usually say it.
@lc.22414 жыл бұрын
they’ve said that when writing songs, because they’ve been together for so long and that fact that they’re so close, knowing which person should sing which part comes natural to them.
